今回の話題は、ほぼ一つの場面に集まりました。主人公の戟刃が、トイレに入っている最中に恋人の茜から別れを告げられ、しかも茜は家族と囲むはずだった寿司を食べてから帰っていく、という場面です。4chan では「男は自分ちのトイレでさえ安らげないのか！？」と嘆く声や、「今年見たアニメの場面で一番笑った。」という書き込みが並びました。
Reddit では、悪いのは茜か戟刃かで議論が長く続いています。茜を「間違いなく危険信号だ」とする人もいれば、「今は彼女ばかりが頑張ってる」と戟刃の受け身ぶりを責める人もいて、ロボットアニメの感想スレとは思えない恋愛相談のような流れになりました。主人公が最後まで面白くならないこと自体がオチだ、という脚本家の発言をめぐるやり取りもあります。

第2話
恋人の茜が静寂家を訪れ、戟刃の家族と寿司を囲むことになった。ところが茜は、トイレに入っている戟刃に別れを告げ、用意されていた寿司を平らげて帰ってしまう。何でも人並みにこなすが自分からは動かない戟刃の「普通さ」が、思わぬ形で突きつけられた。一方、叔父の黒岩勇作は戟刃に、今度はお前がダンデヴァインを操縦する番だと告げる。妹のきれいはアポスドールに強い関心を見せ、再び現れた敵との戦いが続く。

第2話は後半でようやく必要だった勢いが出たけど、それでもまだ味気なさが拭えない。
あと、これって英語圏の視聴者向けの「用を足してる最中に振られる（dumped while taking a dump）」ってダジャレなのか？
そいつがレッド異世界に怒ってるのは作品そのものの欠点のせいじゃなくて、あの作品を好きだった連中が、特撮へのあからさまなオマージュをバカみたいに扱ったってみんなで叩いたからだよ。要するに、ただの器の小ささだ。
Episode 2 got some much needed energy on the second half, but still cannot shake the feeling of blandness present yet.

It's not mad at Red Isekai because of the show own demerits, but because everyone that liked the show piled on it for being a dumbass about all very obvious toku homages. In other words, it's simply pure pettiness.

それの何が変なんだ？ 今ちょうど『佐々木とピーちゃん』をやってるし、『サムライフラメンコ』は /a/ で一番有名な作品の一つだぞ。むしろダンデヴァインは単純すぎるくらいだ。

What's weird about that? Sasaki to Pii-chan is airing right now and Samurai Flamenco is one of the most well known shows on /a/, if anything Dandivine is too simple.

Since it's Inoue it's pretty much just going to be as dramedy focused as possible since he himself could not care less about the robots

Its trying to be like Shawn of the Dead or Eminence in Shadow. A parody that makes fun of the genre while also being the genre.

On one hand, he's a terrible boyfriend and I don't blame her for wanting to break up with him, he doesn't try whatsoever. On the other hand, she dumped him while he was on the shitter, ate the sushi meant for the girlfriend being introduced, then just f*****g dipped without a word. I sure do love women!

戟刃には茜とよりを戻してほしくないかも。コメントでは戟刃が批判されてるけど、茜は間違いなく危険信号だ。トイレにいるときに振ったんだぞ。よく言っても無神経、悪く言えば失礼。自分がもう降りた立場の人のための料理を、がつがつ平らげた。しまいには、家まで送ろうとした戟刃に急に怒り出した。たぶん、別れないでくれって強く引き止めてほしかったんだろうけど、それって話し合いの代わりにくだらない駆け引きをしてるだけだ。
I kinda want Gekiha to not get back with Akane. People criticise him in the comments, but Akane is certainly a red flag. She dumped him when he's in the toilet. This is tactless at best and rude at worst. She greedily gorged on food that was for someone in position she had already relinquished. Finally, she randomly got mad at him when he tried to walk her home. I assume she hoped he'd assertively ask her to not dump him, which is replacing communication with some s****y mind games.

Yeah, she seems upset that he doesn’t treat her as inherently special from the start and said yes because he would’ve to anyone, but it’s not like she actually gave him a reason to care (or cared about who he was beyond surface level appearances for that matter). Like she seems consistently upset he’s not meeting arbitrary criteria she refuses to actually communicate with him about in any way shape or form

危険信号みたいなキャラは井上敏樹の十八番だから、嫌われるキャラを書いても驚かない。
Red flags are Toshiki Inoue's specialty, so I'm not surprised that he made a character unlikable.

あの多くは笑いのために描かれてた。そんなに真に受けるものじゃないと思う。ただ問題は、その笑いの代償に、彼女のキャラがかなり嫌われるものになってることだ。
A lot of that was played for humor. I don't think that we're supposed to take it too seriously. But the problem is that the humor comes at the cost of making her character pretty unlikable.
たしかに笑いのために作られてた。便座に座ってる彼を映すアングルとか…。別れを切り出したとたんに食事をかき込む作画とか…。
ただ、ネタとしてはうまく決まってなかった。
It was indeed made for humor. The angle at which they showed him sitting on the toilet bowl... The way they animated how she rushed her meal once the break up was announced...
The joke just didn't deliver well.

(If you watch carefully, they only show him raising the bowl once to his mouth, as if he ate the entire plate and bowl of rice all at once, in the middle of a sentence.)

ロボットの場面はめちゃくちゃ盛り上がる。BGMとか、発進のときのガシャンガシャンって音とか。それ以外は今のところ微妙だけど、まあ様子見だな。
The robot parts are hype as s**t, OST, chunking sounds as they launch it, etc. Rest of the show I'm mixed on but we'll see how it goes.
妹については、OPに出てくる、まだ登場してないロボットのパイロットとのつながりに注目してほしい。アポスドールに近づくために、あいつと組むと予想しておく。もし最後の戦いが、ダンデヴァインに乗った戟刃と叔父さん対、新しい仲間とロボットに乗った妹、なんてことになったら。まあでも、アポスドールの3人組は大義よりこの騒動の面白さに興味がありそうだから、妹がなぜかその3人組に加わるだけかもしれないけど。
In terms of the sister, I direct you to her association with the yet-to-be-introduced mecha pilot in the intro and predict that she's going to team up with him to get closer to the Aposdolls. I mean, imagine if this comes down to a final fight between Gekiha and his uncle in Dandivine against his sister and her new friend in their mecha. Then again, maybe she'll just somehow join the Aposdoll trio since they seem more interested in the entertainment value of this whole thing than a higher purpose.

別れたいって言われても反論も抵抗もしなかったことで、戟刃がどの程度の気持ちだったのか、茜には全部伝わっちゃったんだよ…少なくとも、失ったと気づくまでは。
That he didn't even contest or try to fight back against her wanting to end things said all to Akane how much he cared...at least until he realized he'd lost her.
まあ、でも彼女も変わってるよな。振るためにわざわざ家に来て、しかもご飯まで食べていくんだから。それに加えて、前の回の勇作との普通／普通じゃないって話が、あからさまにネタにされてる
ok but also shes a weird one coming into his house to break up with him, and still staying over for food. Like, its pretty blatant, on top of Yusakus talk with him last ep about normal/not normal is being played with
戟刃の「罪」は、すごく人当たりがよくて、ぶつかるのを避けて、味気ないことみたいだ。茜が付き合いをうまくいかせようとして、不満をちゃんと伝えてたのか、それとも自分をさらってディズニーランドに連れていってくれる完璧な王子様を期待してただけなのかは、まだ分からない。
Gekiha's "sin" seems to be that he's very agreeable, non confrontational and bland. We don't know yet if Akane tried to make the relationship work and communicated her frustrations with dealing with him properly, or if she just expected him to be the perfect prince charming who would sweept her off her feet and taken her to Disneyland.
このスレで、戟刃があの付き合いでどれだけ何もしてないか分かってる人がいてうれしい。
振ったことで茜を責める人がいるけど、戟刃は彼女の指示に応えるだけで、ほとんど何もしてないんだよ。
I'm glad someone in this thread recognise how effortless Gekiha is in that relationship.

設定とキャラの成長を楽しみにしてる。
ただ残念ながら、この第2話の時点では：
1) 茜が戟刃と別れたがるのも分かる。今の戟刃はかなり味気ない主人公だ。
2) 勇作も頼りになりそうにない。ダンデヴァインに乗るヒーローというより、兄と甥にたかって飲み食いしてるキャラって印象だ。
I look forward to some lore and character development.
Unfortunately, as of this 2nd episode:
1) I can see why Akane wants to break up with Gekiha. Currently, Gekiha is a rather bland main character.
2) Yusaku does not seem to inspire confidence either. I am associating him as a character who leeches food and drinks off his brother and nephew, more than a hero who pilots Dandivine.
戟刃は、ダンデヴァインに乗ることを茜を取り戻す手段にしようとするのかな。
I do wonder if Gekiha is going to try to use piloting Dandivine as a means of winning back Akane.
外側のこと（女の子は巨大ロボが好き）より内側のほうが大事だって気づく、キャラの成長の匂いがする。
I smell character growth over realising the external (chicks dig giant robots) is less important than the internal.

正直に言うと、このシリーズはパロディのネタっぽいやつだと思ってた。本気でやってるなんて知らなかった。最初の2話を見直してまた報告する。
Okay old disclosure I thought this series was like a parody joke meme kind of situation. I had no idea we were being serious here. Going to rewatch the first two episodes and get back to you guys.

This episode was pretty fun. The breakup made me lol
作画はかなり物足りないし、キャラもあんまり好きじゃない。どのキャラも全体的に行動が意味不明。特に茜が大嫌い。3話まではチャンスをあげるけど、気に入ることはなさそう。
The animation is pretty subpar and I don't really like the characters. The characters just act nonsensical all around. And I especially hate Akane. Imma give it a chance until episode 3 but I doubt it'll win me over.

もし叔父さんが次の回であっさり死ななかったら、操縦を戟刃に譲りたい理由は、もう若くないから（20年経ってるし）で、ダンデヴァインの力を引き出すには若くて反射神経のいい誰かが要るってことだと予想しておく。
If the uncle doesn't straight up die next episode, I'm going to guess that the reason he want to pass piloting duties to Gekiha is because he's not getting any younger (it's been 20 years) and Dandivine needs a someone spry and with good reflexes to draw out it's full potential.

ただし、笑いの受け止め方は人によってかなり違いました。Reddit では「あの多くは笑いのために描かれてた」と認めたうえで、「その笑いの代償に、彼女のキャラがかなり嫌われるものになってる」と指摘する人がいます。一方で、茜を責める声に対しては「付き合いに積極的なのは彼女のほうだよ」という反論も出ました。お弁当を作り、映画に誘い、映画まで選んだのは茜で、戟刃はそれに応えるだけ。「ChatGPT を彼氏にしてるようなもんだ」という例えは、今の戟刃の姿をよく言い当てています。
