たぶん彼は、期待しすぎたくなくて、彼女とこれ以上深い仲にならない言い訳を探してたんだと思う……でも結局、意味もなく彼女を傷つけちゃった。

It's like Kaguya-sama where both leads are head over heels for each other and trying to find excuses to pursue their feelings but are also self-sabotaging themselves at the same time lol.
I think maybe he was looking for an excuse not to get in any deeper with her because he didn't want to get his hopes up...but he ended up hurting her feelings for no reason.

The difference is in Kaguya-sama, the characters are intelligent and neurotic. In this, they have walnut sized brains.

ちょっと気になるのは、彼がわざと彼女を遠ざけるような話し方をしてる気がすること。言うことのほとんどが、彼女に興味が無いって誤解されかねなくて、見ててイライラする。しかも本人はまったく気づいてないっぽい。

What kind of bothers me is that it almost feels like he is intentionally talking to push her away or something. Like almost everything he says could be misunderstood as him not being interested in her and it kind of drives me nuts. He also seems to have absolutely no awareness at all.

たぶん、つもりが無くても振ってるように聞こえる言い方になっただけで、気軽に彼女と遊ぶのは踏み込みすぎだと思ったのもあるんじゃないかな。
でも、彼女はもう彼のバイトのことを知ってるんだから、言わない理由なんて無かった。

I think it was also partially that he felt he was overstepping hanging out with her casually even if he probably didn't intend to phrase it in a way to make it sound like he was rejecting her.
But there was no real reason not to tell her because she already knows about his job.

颯太の父ちゃんと「筋肉卿」は、彼女の裏切りをめぐって激しく戦ったわけだ……そのまま寝室までな。たぶん全部「計画通り」だったんだろう。
（あと、お母さんの写真がめちゃくちゃ優しそうでかわいく写ってるから、颯太がこんな話を予想できるわけないのが最高）

Sota's dad and the "muscle lord" sure battled it out over her betrayal all right...right into the bedroom. Which was probably ALL ACCORDING TO KEIKAKU.
(Also I just love how his moms' picture makes her look so sweet and adorable that Sota would never have seen this coming)

As gloriously insane as Sota's dad's lore dump on how bonds forged through muscles and sugar can take you to wonderful places was, the reveal he's still close with his college bros was plain heartwarming.

Just wanted to say, the image you chose for Koharu stitch blew me away when I saw it in episode. The switch in style looks so good, with all the sparkles adding to it.

I am so irrationally angry with this episode.
They set the whole thing up as if we were gonna get a confession, even invoking the freaking dead mom in the flashback. And they became, (m)Instagram buddies??? Dammit
And please don't get me started about not being able to say "I have to help out in the shop during weekends". Like, girl knows where you work and that you help out your dad...

After watching Love unseen beneath a clear sky I have severe PTSD with the name Koharu. That picture at the end as a preview of the next episode feels from a different kind of show entirely. Is this show going to be like Second Prettiest Girl where the relationship develops with good pacing or are we going to spend the whole season waiting for a formal confession?

題名からすると次の回で告白しそうだけど、深読みしすぎかも。

The title made it sound like a confession next episode, but I might be reading too much into it.

少なくとも1話で、お互い本当に好き同士だって分かったのはよかったと思う……でも『I Want To End This Love Game』もそうで、そのまま突っ走ったからな。あまり引き延ばさないでほしい。

I feel like it helped at least in episode 1 to find out they actually are into one another.... but then I Want To End This Love Game had that going on and they ran with it. Hopefully they don't drag it out too long.

『I Want To End This Love Game』は最高だった。漫画も好きなんだけど、残念ながら新しい話が出るのにめちゃくちゃ時間がかかる

That's what I thought as well. Did not expect to see that in a fluffy romance series.

Here's hoping it's like Kura Nika. I quite enjoyed that.
