最初は異世界の錬金術師が奴隷の嫁を手に入れる話で、かなり粗くて残酷なんだけど、そのうち奴隷制度の設定が作り込まれすぎて、魔法体系もやたら複雑になって、そこから複雑な能力やルールを使った狂った流血バトルに突入していく

It start as some isekai alchemist slave waifu thing, very crude/cruel but then the slavery system get overdeveloped, the magic system get very complex and then you go into crazy gore combat with complicated abilities/rules

As weird as they are I do have to give them credit for making me know exactly what it’ll be about before I watch it.
A lot of them suck, but as terrible a title as “I got transported to another world where they never invented money and became the greatest venture capitalist” is I know exactly what kind of crap I’m getting, versus “Bungler” telling me nothing.

I wouldn't bet money on this being the one to rise to the top of its genre by encompassing everything. And executed in a successful and enjoyable manner at that. But they could just be going with the "Everything and the kitchen sink" strategy.

Surprisingly good series, it sounds like ass with the whole slave and isekai tropes, but it has a very creative setting and the fights are surprisingly clever since the Mc is not a fighter and has to adapt his alchemy based skillset Creating a fake alchemy book that only needs leather to be completed, so when he hands it to that arc antagonist, it uses their skin as a material as a trap, using a corpse eating slime to defeat a zombie horde and repurpose the dying slime as a prosthetic eye, etc.

Not op, but i agree with their sentiment. The girl has a personality rooted in her experiences with the world and the people. She is cunning, smart, and loyal.
The guy, on the other hand, suffers from gary stu syndrome and needs to grow a backbone. He's naively nice to everyone and oblivious to the world. There is a reason for this, because spoilers, but I personally find it kinda lazy.

They are known to be pinnacle of ecchi adaptations, but they did some stellar job with stuff like Spice&Wolf for example.

I mean slavery until 150-200 years ago was incredibly common in the real world. It would track that fantasy worlds would also do it.

問題なのは、主人公が第1話で奴隷を買って、あとは制度に対して『しょうがない』で済ませる作品が山ほどあることなんだ。主人公が相手をどう扱うかに関係なく、従順な女性を話に出すための怠けた道具になってる。
そのうえで、この作品自体は評判がいいみたいだけどね。それでもこの型はあっという間に飽きられた

The objectionable thing is that there's a horrendous amount of shows like this that feature the protagonist buying a slave in the very first episode and then his attitude towards the system is otherwise "shoganai". It has become a lazy tool to introduce a subservient woman into the story, regardless of how the main character treats them.
That being said people say good things about this one, but it has gotten old really fast.

The completely fictional, fantastical worlds that the writers have 100% control over? They don't have to include these hamfisted portrayals of this stuff, but they do all too often. It's weird.

The question is more, why does slavery keep being used as a justification for why this hot girl sticks around you.

自分が見てきた限りでは、可愛い娘が序盤から主人公について回って忠実でいることの、お手軽な口実として使われてる。主人公はだいたい奴隷制に反対する立場だから、仲間（＝奴隷）からの好感度稼ぎにもなる

The way I've seen it mostly used is as an easy excuse for a hot/cute girl to follow and be loyal to the MC early on. Since the MC is (usually) against slavery, they also get brownie points for their friends (slaves).

ああ、主人公の能力が何でも作れるレシピ本で、実質的に他の転生者を狩るバトルロイヤルになるっていう異世界ものか？

Oh this one Isekai where the dude's power is recipe book for... Anything, and it was a battle royale hunter hunting others reincarnated scenario essentially?
