The type of work they were best suited for, they are banned for life from doing. It's not that you can't reform them, it's that it's not worth the expense. Just hang them.

冒頭の総集編は、少年アニメじゃよくあること。
10分あたりの10秒の繰り返しは総集編じゃない。CM明けだ。

Beginning episode recap, quite common in shonen shows.
The 10 second recap at the 10 minute mark was not a recap, it was a commercial break.

少年アニメでよくあるのは、ワンピースやドラゴンボールZみたいな、漫画と並行して毎週放送してて、漫画1話ぶんを22分に引き延ばさなきゃならない作品だけだ。これは違う。6年近く続くWeb小説を、1シーズンでアニメ化した作品だからな。
使い回しだらけで動きも少ないし、どうせ予算が少なくて手を抜いてるんだろう。

The only time it's common in shonen is when it's a series like One Piece or DBZ where they were constantly running weekly episodes alongside the manga and had to stretch out a single chapter of manga to a 22 minute episode. That's not the case with this; it's a single-season adaptation of a web novel that's been going on for almost six years.
Judging by the constant reused footage and low animation rate, it's likely just them working with a slim budget and trying to cut corners.

Well yeah, it's common in those shows. Even non Jump shows I've seen it like Shangri-la Frontier. It's common when they are trying to either delay show timing or save budget. Point is, I wouldn't be surprised seeing a 90 second recap and commerical break recaps, we are used to that. It's only bad when it's done in Exiled Heavy Knight because they've done recaps for something that happened a few minutes ago because the characters were talking in past tense.

Were the fairies for S ranked gifts or just unique ones cause I'm wondering if Roger has a fairy of his own. Linka I assume hasn't gotten hers yet since she's drawing parallels with Lent's actions before he got Empee.

面白い考えだけど、話がそっちに行くとは思えないな。たぶん妖精はエンピーだけのままだろ。主人公は特別な男の子じゃないとダメだからな。原作は知らないから、ファンタジーアニメのお約束から見た予想だけど

It's a good idea, but I doubt the story is going there. Empee will probably stay the only fairy. MC has to be the super special boy, after all. But I don't know the source material, so that's just my guess based on fantasy anime tropes.

Huh, I figured Empee started using the telepathic communication to make Lent not look crazy to Linka but she ended up showing herself to her.

この総集編、何なんだよ。ぎこちなさすぎる。OPのあとに総集編が入って、しかも前回のラストと全然つながってない。そのうえ宿屋だかギルドだかに駆け込む場面では、同じセリフを切れ目もなく繰り返す。
それにまたしても、クズばっかりだ。助けてくれたこの子を骸骨の前に置き去りとか、想像以上にひどかった。まあ、すぐに報いを受けたからよしとする。

Wtf is with these recaps? They feel so clunky. First we get the opening followed by a recap after the intro, only for it to be totally out of sync with what we saw at the end of last episode, then the scene where they run into the inn/guildhall and then repeat the same sentence with no clear cut.
And yet again, people just being complete assholes. The way they left her to fight the skeleton after she saved them was even worse than I'd expected. At least they quickly got their karma.

I'm glad her current party got their comeuppance immediately. They all got sent to the mines for betraying her, good riddance.
I'm, also glad that everyone took her side and were quite angry at her former party for abandoning her.
If that's how they treated them, I can't WAIT for them to meet Lent's old party...

Probably got into the party expecting her to be a great fighter because of the SSS and in reality she currently is below average.

レントとロジャーは知り合いなのに、どこで会ったか思い出せなくて、前の話をざっと見返した。
レントがガイ、ミサ、エルに言い返せなかったとき、ロジャーが黙って見てたんだな。

Lent and Roger know each other, but I couldn't remember from where. Hence I skimmed through the earlier episodes - Roger was silently observing Lent when the latter couldn't speak up for himself against his Guy, Misa and Elle.

ちょっとイラつくけど、キャラの幅って意味ではいいことだよな。流星群にも、お高くとまったクズが1人いて、もう1人は礼儀正しいけどレントを褒めはしない。みんなが「理想的」に振る舞うのは退屈だ。悪人だらけでも善人だらけでも、いい脚本とは言えない。

It's sort of annoying, but at the same time a good thing (in terms of character diversity) that even Meteor Shower had one stuck up asshole, and another who was more polite but also didn't compliment Lent. It's sort of boring when too many characters are behaving "ideally". Going too far one way or the other, where the story has either too many evil characters around or too many pure and good characters around, are both not great writing.

The whole point is that if Linka had been on the safe side of the wall, the quad skeleton would have been attacking them all, preventing them from creating the wall.
They assumed the skeleton would only take a few seconds to kill Linka, then it would chase the rest of them. That's why they took those few seconds to create the wall.
They were even assuming the skeleton would break down the wall after a minute or two, which is why they were running to the dungeon exit.

"Twice Exceptional" isn't a euphemism. It's the normal phrase for someone who is both gifted *and* has some kind of disability. Like if you're a genius with dyslexia, for example.

Yea, I don't know if it's a budget thing or just wanted to padd the runtime to end on that scene but it was like I was watching One Piece with how we got maybe eight minutes of original footage wrapped around 12 minutes of padding.

Considering how the Skypiercers are a bunch of jackass with their heads up their own asses I doubt it.

ソフトを集める人には特にイラつくよな。総集編や分割の場面を全部切ったディレクターズカットでも出ない限り買いにくいし、安っぽくて持っておく価値が無く見える。

Its super annoying especially for those who like to collect the physical copies of the shows and unless they do a directors cut that removes all the all the recaps and split scenes make it a tough buy and make the show feel cheap and not worth owning

こういうアニメはいつも叩かれるから、制作陣は「原作なんか知るか、どうせ誰も気にしてない」って決めたんだろ。でもそれなら、ちゃんとやる気も無いのになんでアニメ化したんだって話になる。

I mean people s**t on these shows all the time so it seems like the team behind this anime just decided to say "f**k the source no one cares about these shows anyway", though that brings to question way adapt it into an anime at all if your not going to do it right

Sometimes I think about doing the editing myself after a season finishes. Cut together all the actual story so that it's around three or four good large episodes instead of 12 crap-filled episodes.
