同じ者だけど、繁殖による継承（あるかどうかは分からん）は置いておいても、距離の近さという観点で筋は通る。つまり自警団の連中は互いの近くにいて仲が良いから、スキルを渡し合う可能性が高くなる。ひとつしか渡せなくても、普通の社会的なつながりだけで戦闘系スキルを2〜5個持つ奴が出てくるわけだ（たぶんこれが作品の言いたいことなんだと思う）

Same anon here, also aside from breeding inheritance (which may or may not be a thing) it just makes sense from a standpoint of proximity, i.e. the guys in the self defense force will be around/friendly to each other and thus more likely to pass on skills, which means some of them will end up with 2-5 combat related skills just from normal social cohesion even if they can only pass on one (I think this might be what the show is actually getting at)

Goblin A has an attacking skill so he gets surrounded by other goblins with attacking skills to be village guard and when he dies he passes the name and skill he was born with onto a successor who also has an attacking skill so whoever has the name of Attack Goblin always has at minimum two job related skills.

そこへ80年以上生きるゴブリンを想像してみろ。ゴブリン時間で6400世代ぶんだ。ゴブリンの人口はどれだけ速く増える？ 長生きするゴブリンは、どれほど賢く、戦いでどれほど効率的になる？ そしてそのゴブリンに会ってみたら、すでに社会の組織化を進めている。戦士を作り、銀行家や商人や建築家を作り、専門の社会的役割を作っている。

Imagine from the human leader’s perspective. A goblin lives one week, but that is long enough for a goblin to not only become intelligent enough to interact with humans, but to learn and transfer a skill plus have enough babies to grow or atleast maintain a population. That’s one week.
Now imagine a goblin that can live 80+ years. 6400 generations of goblin time. How fast would the goblin population grow? How intelligent and efficient in battle would a long lived goblin become? Now imagine meeting that goblin and he is already in the process of organizing their society. Creating warriors. Creating bankers & merchants & architects. Specialized social roles.
To top it all off, 50 of your best knights went to annihilate that goblin village and were entirely overwhelmed by ONE goblin. All of those same knights bowed in fealty to that goblin after defeat. Seamingly against their own will. Not a single one of them could be used to attack that village again as they could literally be ordered to rebel and you could do nothing about it.
Legitimately a terrifying existence.

見てる俺たちはアキラがどういう人間か知ってるから、たぶん大丈夫だと分かるけど、この世界の人間にそんなこと分かるわけがない。

Also consider the mere possibility that if Akira is constantly inheriting skills from other goblins, then what if in the later years of his lifespan, he might have thousands, tens of thousands of skills by then. What kind of menacing being would he become if left completely alone to his own machinations. What if he later becomes an evil tyrant like some alternate "dark timeline" version of demon lord Rimuru etc.?
Us watching know what kind of person Akira is so we know it'll most likely work out fine, but how are the humans of this world supposed to know that.

作品の前提を壊すからその方向には行かないと思うけど、魔王のスキルを継いだせいで人間がアキラを敵と見なしたとして、彼に戦う気がなければ移住すればいいだけだ。ゴブリンを全員連れて別の大陸へ行けばいい。
スキルについては、どんどん力を一点に集めているけど、いずれもっと長く生きられるスキルを受け継ぐか、蓄えたスキル全部を引き継がせる方法を見つけるかもしれない。

Since it would defeat the premise, I doubt it'll go that way, but if humans decide to make Akira an enemy because of inheriting the demon lord's skill and he doesn't want to fight, all he has to do is migrate. Take all the goblins and go to another continent.
On the subject of skills, he keeps concentrating more power, but he might end up inheriting a skill that lets him live for much longer, or he finds a way to pass down every skill he's accumulated.

Synergy is the key, innit? Someone else might have a skill that lets them pass on other skills or to receive skills other than the one someone was born with.
The system he set up is good for building up goblin society but I know I'd still be snatching up the more useful and unique skills.
He's not limited to inheriting skills from just other goblins but it seems you have to consent to give them away rather than just snatching them.
He could use Survival of the Fittest to defeat someone and force them to pass on their skill to him. Seems like a great way to take skills from enemies.

ゴブリン版オール・フォー・ワンだな。簡単に計算してみると、死んでいくゴブリンのスキルを1%でも集めていて、村に100匹くらいいて、置き換わる率が最低でも2倍だとすると（ところで、なんでまだ無限に増えてないんだ？）、80年間、平均して毎週新しいスキルが手に入る。控えめに見積もっても4160個くらいだ。でも数か月の時点で彼はもう277個持っていた。3か月と仮定すれば週に23個近い。正直、数字が合わないから作者が雑なんだと思うけど、その数で行くなら80年後には95,000個近くになる。
つまり何が言いたいかというと、こいつはとんでもなく強すぎる。「神は我らを滅ぼそうとしているのか？」っていうシモンの問いは間違ってない。

Also if we do some basic math, if he's collecting even 1% of the skills of goblins as they die, and there's like 100 in the village and their replacement rate is at least 2 (which btw, how are they not infinitely growing by now?), then he will get a new skill every week for 80 years on average. That's a low ballpark of like 4160. But he already had 277 by the time a few months had passed, which is closer to 23 a week if we assume 3 months. Tbh the numbers don't add up, so I feel like the author is being sloppy, but if we go by that number, then he'd have closer to like 95,000 after 80 years.
Basically, what I'm saying is, this mf is unbelievably overpowered. Simon isn't wrong when he asks "Is god trying to wipe us out?"

the marquis needs to balance risk and reward here. The MC is obviously strong, he easily defeated 50 of his knights/soldiers while holding back.
what if he decides to kill him and fails? Then the MC will be forced to become an enemy of humans for self survival, no? Anyone that fights him will join his army, either they quickly win or he can conquer the world lol.
right now he is dangerous but can be handled with diplomacy.

He's definitely putting on a face to a degree as we saw with him getting serious when Akira wasn't watching and having someone go spy on the village. How much he's a horny old goof or a manipulator we'll have to see.

Everytime there's focus on goblin, they always made them horny little bastard lol. I mean it makes sense considering the low life span.
Also, MC is very very smart but it seems he's not trying to hide his ability at all. The guardian girl brings out the correct point there that at some point he could be perceived as threat to human
Now he blatantly admits that he inherited Maou's skill. I wonder how the human side would take this news? Has Akira actually thought of this possibility as well?

娼館で朝まで、って時点で、いくつかの点で転スラからは確実に離れたな。リムルは酒くらいは飲むかもしれないけど、たぶんそこが限度で、ここのアキラは明らかにそうじゃなかった。
少なくとも今のところカレンはアキラに一度も負けてないから、魔王のスキルの効果を受けてない。それはよかった。
各スキルは2人までしか継げないわけで、あの世襲の計画でできることには限りがある。でも、専門ごとにグループを分けて、ゴブリンそれぞれが専門に合ったスキルをいくつか持つようにすれば、できる範囲で一番効率がいい。

We've departed Tensura for sure in some respects given that all nighter at the brothel. Rimuru might go to drink but I'm pretty sure that's his limit, which was definitely not the case with Akira here.
I'm glad that at least so far Karen wasn't ever defeated by Akira and as such isn't under the effects of the Archfiend skill.
There's only so much they can do skill-wise with that lineage inheritance plan considering each skill is only good for two bearers, but having specialized groups where the goblins all have a few different skills dedicated to the specially at least focuses it as best they can.

あの角の少女との小さな戦闘、音響がきつかった。作画に金がかかるのは分かるけど、打撃音がはっきり足りてないと、見てる側としては気が削がれる。

The audio mixing on that small fight with the demon girl was rough. I get that animating is expensive, but a noticeable lack of impact noises takes the wind out of my sails as a viewer.

で、誰か劇伴の担当を知ってる？　この手の作品にしては妙に良い曲がいくつかあった

予算があまり無いのは見て分かる。でも演出はかなりしっかりしてる。監督はCygamesPicturesでいろいろやってきた人だ。

You can tell there isn't too much budget here. Although the direction is pretty solid. The director has done a lot of stuff with CyGames Pictures.

これは確実に伸びしろがあると思うし、どこへ向かうのか楽しみだ。シモンが恐怖から、あるいは魔王のスキルを継いだと知って裏切っても驚かない。今のところ、和平の努力もむなしく、結局ゴブリンの魔王になっていく、って流れに見える。

I feel like this definitely has some potential and I'm interested to see where it goes. I wouldn't be surprised if Simon turns on him out of fear or learning that he inherited the demon king's skill. The vibe I'm getting so far is that he's basically going to become a goblin demon king despite his efforts towards making peace.

シモンは最初からなかなか面白いやつだった。アキラを娼館に連れていったのは笑ったけど、まあ、普段は魔物扱いしてる相手が、あんなスキルを持って長生きできると知れば警戒するのも当然か。
今回はアキラに魔法があったおかげで、死なずに子どもを守れてよかった。
クロエはかなり強かったな。その辺のゴブリンとは比べものにならない。村に加わることになりそうだ。

Simon was a pretty fun guy to begin with, pretty funny that is took Akia to a brothel, thought I guess it's no surprise to be weary or something they usually consider to be a monster that can live a really long life with those kinds of skills.
Thankfully Akira has magic this time to protect a child without dying.
Chloe was pretty strong, she could be any regular Goblin, looks like she will be joining the village.

魔王が言ってたのは要するに、人間が自分を攻撃してこない限り、逆ウノみたいに相手を配下にして軍を作ることはできない、ってことだろ。だから人間が攻めてこない限りは大丈夫だと思う。

Wild to hear the goblins were kept as pets, that is a first i've ever seen.
The archfiend basically said as long as people don't attack me, then I can't build an army of subjects by doing a reverse uno. So I think it's fine as long as people don't attack him.

今回は1話より体感が短かった気がする。1話にOPが無かったせいかも。
製作側は「アキラはこの先トラブルになるぞ」と視聴者に思わせようとしてる気がするけど、俺は『異世界のんびり農家』みたいに、手を出したら何が起きるか分からないから誰もが戦いを避ける、って展開になる気がする。

This episode felt like it went by faster than the first one some how. Maybe it's the lack of an OP in the first episode.
I think they're trying to trick the audience into thinking the Akira is going to have some issues later on, but I feel like we're going to get a Farming Life in Another World scenario where everyone wants to avoid fighting him out of fear of what may happen if they do.

主人公は喋りすぎだし人間を信用しすぎ。それに頼むから、あの女騎士がゴブリンの主人公に惚れる展開だけはやめてくれ。こういう真っ直ぐすぎて世間知らずな主人公はあまり好きじゃないけど、まあこれはそこまで悪くないか

Mc talks too much, trusts humans too much, and I swear to god that knight lady better not fall in love with the goblin mc. I dont particularly like these overly earnest and naive mcs but I guess this isnt too bad

どのみち1週間もすれば死んでないことはバレるんだから、隠す必要を感じなかったのも分かる。ゴブリンは弱いというのが世間の常識だったし、寿命が人間並みというだけで本気で怖がられるとは思わないだろ。

They would have realised he wasn't dead within a week anyway, so I can see why he didn't feel the need to hide that. Goblins were also universally seen as weak and he had no reason to think they would legitimately fear him just because he has a lifespan comparable to theirs.

今回で、人間との対峙のとき「正当防衛」の主張を一切しなかった理由が丁寧に説明されてたじゃないか。
主人公はそもそも人間を村への脅威と見なしてない気がする。今は外交をしてるけど、それは平和に暮らすために全面戦争を避けたいからで、人間が理由もなく攻めてきたら、範囲攻撃のスキルと魔王のスキルで制圧すればいいだけだ。

This episode explain in detail why he didn't use "self defence" argument at all during the confrontation with human.
I have a feeling he didn't even perceive human as a threat to the village. Like he's doing diplomacy now cause he wants to avoid all out war to live peacefully. However if human ends up attacking him for no reason, he can just use his AoE skill + the archfiend skill to subdue them.

俺はアニメ視聴を（無給の）本業だと思ってる。それにシーズンの頭はいつも仕事が多い。終盤に向けて切る作品が増えるから、だんだん静かになる。

I consider watching anime my main (unpaid) job. And the start of the season is always more work. Towards the end I skip more shows so it gets more quiet.

転生ものの異世界アニメって、1話のエンドロール直前に主人公がどん底に落ちるのが多いよな（最近始まった、あの差し押さえのアニメとか）。でもほぼ必ず、2話の最初の2分で引き上げられる。
実際より暗い作品だと思い込んで、1話で切った人もいただろうな。

A lot of reincarnation isekai have the MC reach their lowest moment just as the credits roll in episode 1. (The repo anime that just came out for example). They are almost always instantly lifted up within the first 2 minutes of episode 2 though.
People might have been dropping some shows after 1 episode because they thought the show would be more depressing than it actually is.

Tbf my problem is with him telling the demon girl he got the Demon Lord skill in front of Karen, who in turn told Simon about it. That's a secret he should've kept for himself just in case

いや、警備隊長と初めて会ったときに、200以上のスキルを持ってるって既に認めてるし。普通のゴブリンじゃ到底届かない数だから、察しがつくのも当然だ。

I mean, he already admitted to having over 200 skills when he first met the guard captain. No regular goblin can get even close, so its kind of easy to guess.

スキルを与える手段はまだ無いから、今のところ奪うしかできないし、奪う相手が死ぬ必要がある。でもスキルの種類があれだけ豊富なら、そういうことができるスキルもきっと見つかる。
寿命が80年というだけでシモンがあれだけ怯えたのを見ると、ゴブリンには寿命が足かせになってる大きな潜在能力があるんだろう。長生きして大量のスキルを溜め込める個体（魔王の発言からして、これもアキラだけの特性）は、あっという間にチート級になる。
今はまだ弱い設定のはずなのに、カレンの部隊を丸ごと、誰も殺さずに倒してるし。終身刑を受けたゴブリンでさえ、襲ってきた人間を殺せた。

He still doesn't have a way to give skills, so for now he can only take skills and require the person he's taking them from to die. But given the huge diversity in skills, I'm sure he can find other skills that would allow something like that.
Given how much fear Simon had just from his having an eighty year lifespan, I'd guess goblins have huge potential that their lifespan limits. So one living long and being capable of accumulating lots of skills (another thing unique about Akira given Maou's remark about it) is going to get OP super quickly.
He's supposed to be pretty weak now but still had no trouble taking down Karen's entire squad without killing them. And even the goblin given a life sentence was able to kill the human that attacked him.

本人が鈍感で見落としてる、ってほど自明な話じゃない。ゴブリンはめちゃくちゃ弱い種族と見なされてて、ペットにまでされてた。あれだけ弱いゴブリンが、長生きしたくらいで危険になるとは考えようがない。
それに村長を務めるつもりだったわけで、1週間たっても死ななければ、人間は何かあると気づくに決まってる。
魔王のスキルの件だって、ばらしたのは本人じゃない。別に本人の落ち度じゃない。
でもまあ、長生きするゴブリンというだけで向こうはかなり警戒してた。そのゴブリンが魔王のチートスキルまで持ってると分かれば、放っておかれるわけがない。

It's not some super obvious thing he's being dense about. Goblins are considered super weak and were even kept as pets. He has no reason to think a long lived goblin could be dangerous given how weak goblins are.
He was also going to serve as mayor and the humans would obviously figure out he's got something going on when he doesn't die within a week.
Even about him getting the Maou's skill, he's not the one who outed him. Not really something he did wrong there.
But yeah, they seemed plenty worried about a long lived goblin. Said goblin having the Maou's OP skill is not going to be left alone.
