今回の解決のしかたはちょっと弱いと思う。あの図を見る限り、映ってた人たち全員に物資を行き渡らせるなんて無理だろ。

I find the resolution of the situation kind of week since with those charts there is no way they could provide to all the people shown in there.
But also, wouldn't that raise many questions? Such as how are they going to pay for those provision to Romantica's merchant company?

影の世界については、どこかでもっと説明が欲しい。世界をじわじわ食いつぶしていく大災害でありながら、クリアした参加者に報酬をくれる、クエストで管理された仕組みでもあるってのがどういうことなのか。特に気になるのがあの影の世界の女の人で、彼女こそデジールを過去に戻した張本人なんじゃないかと疑ってる。
アゼストは本編で相変わらずかなり大胆。一方でEDはロマンティカ回だったし、難民への物資を運び込んだところもロマンティカの見せ場だった。

I'd really like more of an explanation for the Shadow Worlds at some point, why this seems to be both a catastrophe that's slowly eating the world and a managed quest engine driven process that's giving the participants rewards for clearing them. I'm particularly curious who that shadow world lady is and am suspicious that she's the one who sent Desir back in time.
Azest is continuing to be really quite bold in the show itself, good Romantica content in the ED though and in bringing in the supplies for the refugees.

今回のエピソードで面白いと思ったのは、教皇が影の世界を神の罰だって言ってたこと。半分は当たってて、影の世界は神の試練で、あの影の世界の女の人がその神なのかも。

Something I found interesting from this episode, the Pope claimed the shadow realms were punishment from God. Maybe he was half right and they are tests from God, and the shadow world lady is said God.

で、あの白髪の影の世界の嫁、あんた誰？
これってアニメ版インセプション？アカデミー自体が本筋の上に重なった影の世界なのかも。「過去は変えられない」って話からすると、本当に過去は変えられなくて、アカデミー全体がデジールだけが参加してる影の世界なのかも。

Is this inception the animation? Like the academy must be a shadow world on top of the main story. Based on the statements on "you can't change the past" maybe you can't change the past and the whole academy is just a shadow world only desir is a part of.

あり得なくはないけど、自分の印象だと、影の世界では見た目は変わらないのに、それだとデジールが若返ってることになる。もしそうだったとしてもそこまで驚かないけど、普段のルールからは外れてる。

Not impossible, but the impression I have is that shadow worlds do not change your appearance, yet this is one it de-aged Desir. If this does end up being one I won't be entirely shocked, but it is not playing by the normal rules.

Not only that, but he's not getting quest notifications or announcements like he would in a shadow world too.

I think not. I think somehow he reversed time with the insane explosion of the dragon without him knowing. Or maybe other forces did that.

そうそう、1期とは大違い。最高だよ。特に気づいたのは、戦闘や会話のシーンの背景が良くなってるっぽいこと。それに、変なコマ飛びも無かった。戦闘の見栄えは良くなってるし、髪も変に見えないし、顔にちゃんと表情がある。マンファが大好きだから、もっといいアニメ化が欲しかったんだけど、2期はまさにそれ。無職転生やリゼロほどじゃないにしても、回帰ものや異世界ファンタジーの中では間違いなく上位に入ってきた

Yeah far cry from season one. It’s amazing. One thing I noticed a lot were the backgrounds during fights and conversations seemed better. Also there wasn’t any random frame skipping. The fights look better, the hair doesn’t look weird, and the faces have actual expressions. I absolutely adore the manwha so I wanted a better adaptation and season 2 is just that. Sure it’s not mushoku tensei or re zero good but it’s def up there now for regression and isekai genre fantasies

1期の時は、ここまでウケるとは思ってなかったんじゃないかな（実際すごくウケてた。このサブの多くの人が思ってるよりずっと、特に海外で）。それで予算をかなり増やして、優先度も上げた。1期から出るまでにこんなに時間がかかったのも、たぶんそのせい。
このクオリティが続くといいな。1期からの大幅な進化。

I think Season 1 they didnt expect the show to do as well as it did (and it did very well, a lot more than a lot of people on this sub realised, especially internationally) and they gave it a sizeable budget increaae and made it more a priority, which is probably why it took so long to come out after Season 1.
Hopefully the quality continues. Big improvement over Season 1.

I can’t stop gushing about how amazing Pram is. I haven’t really seen an anime portray a gay character in such a positive light. Yes, he yearns for head pats from Desir and wears his heart on his sleeve, but he is COOL, talented, and heroic too

デジールの知識が今回は大活躍だった。ビルヘルムを説得して反乱を起こさせただけじゃなく、本人を聖皇帝にまでしてしまった。
ロマンティカ、アゼスト、プラムのデジールへの気持ちが絡むと、いつも笑える場面がたくさんある。
次回は海回。まだまだ楽しみが待ってる。

Great save there by Romantica, that was a big problem with such a large amount of refugees.
Desir's knowledge helped him out greatly here, he was able to get through to Wilhelm to not only rebel, but them become holy emperor himself.
Always a lot of funny moments when it comes the feeling of Romantica, Zest & Pram towards Desir.
Beach episode next time, more fun in store for us.

影の世界の締めくくりとして、本当に良かった。いくつかの分岐点で、正しいタイミングで正しい行動を取っていれば歴史は変えられたかもしれない、ってことがよく分かる。
ただ前から思ってたんだけど、影の世界がこういうものなら、戦闘ばっかりじゃなくて外交や歴史の勉強にもっと時間を割くべきだよな。
アゼストもだいぶ攻めてきてる。

Really great wrap up to the shadow world. Shows how a few inflection points and the right actions at the right time could have changed history.
One thing I always thought though was that they should spend way more time on diplomacy and history over just combat if this is how the shadow worlds are.
Azest is getting pretty aggressive too.

あーあ、残念。
アニメのお約束で一つ捨ててほしいものがあるとしたら、視聴者が「悪役の会議」を定期的にのぞき見させられて、少なくとも半分が世界を手のひらで転がしてるみたいに振る舞って、主人公たちのせいで起きたちょっとした挫折を軽く流すやつ。呪術廻戦でも嫌だったし、BLEACHでも嫌だった。セーラームーンみたいな気楽な作品でやっと気にならない程度。
この作品はそういう余計なものが無くても十分良かったのに、ここに来て出てきちゃった。腹の立つ笑みを浮かべた生意気な男つきで。

Aw, rats.
If there's one anime trope I'd love to see abandoned, it's the one where we the viewer get regular glimpses of the "bad guy meeting," and at least half of them act as though the world is in the palm of their hand and they handwave the minor setbacks caused by the protagonists. Hated it in Jujutsu Kaisen. Hated it in Bleach. Only manages to be inoffensive in a low-stakes show like Sailor Moon.
This series was doing great without that baggage, but here it is. Complete with cocky guy smiling infuriatingly.

アニメが主人公たちから、裏で動く敵側の連中に焦点を移すやつ。たいていは今まで一度も出てきてなくて、匂わせすら無かったりする。ひどい例だと、呪術廻戦みたいに敵に人間味を持たせようとして、視聴者に悪役への同情を期待してるようなんだけど、だいたいは自信満々でニヤニヤしてるだけ。
それでも分からなければ、今回のエピソードのクレジット後のシーンを見ればいい。

When the anime shifts its focus from the protagonists to adversarial players in the background. Typically having never been seen before, and sometimes never being hinted at before. In the worst cases, like Jujutsu Kaisen, the show tries to situate the adversaries with personable qualities, as if the audience is expected to develop sympathies for the bad guys, but often it's just them grinning ear to ear over their self-assurance.
If that still doesn't make sense, just watch the post-credits scene for this latest episode.

悪役側から見たら、そういう挫折はよくあることなんだと思うよ。主人公にとっては大勝利でも、世界征服を企む悪役にとっては…いつもの火曜日ってだけ。
アニメでこれがお約束っぽく見えるのは、主人公たちがほぼ毎回あらゆる理屈をねじ伏せて、ご都合主義の助けをたっぷり受けるから。主人公補正なんて計画に入れようがないしw

Im betting if you were seeing things from the bad guy's perspective such setbacks are common. For the MC its a big win, for a bad guy planning world domination..it's Tuesday.
And the reason it seems so tropey in anime is because the MC and crew almost always defy all logic and get plenty of dues ex machina assistance. Plot armor is not something you can really plan for lol.

まあ、お約束の中でも好き嫌いがあるのは否定しないよ。でも「主人公が切り札を隠し持ってる」はお約束として本質的にイラつくものじゃない。一方で「両方の側を見せるために尺を使う」のは、自分が実例だけど、ただの頼んでもいないサービス。あと、改めてわざわざ言っとくけど、「主導権はこっちにある」みたいにニヤつくのが特に嫌い。

Sure, never said I wasn't favoring some tropes over others. But "protagonist has ace up sleeve" is not inherently irritating as a trope, whereas I'll use myself as a case in point that "screen time is spent giving the viewer both sides" is just plain unsolicited. And I'm going to go out of my way to again mention the "grinning like the ball is in their court" as a specific dislike.

2期でも、シリアスな話と、デジール、ロマンティカ、プラムのちょっとした笑える場面のバランスが保たれててうれしい。この3人の関係が作品でいちばん好きなところ。

Glad season 2 is still balancing the serious stuff with the funny little moments between Desir, Romantica and Pram. Their dynamic is my favorite part of the show.

前回よりずっと楽しめた。アゼストがデジールをダンスフロアに引っぱり出して、残りの2人が怒ってたのが最高。2人とも嫉妬深いところが大好き。特になでなでしてもらえない時。
サブタイトルはさておき、いちばん気になるのは報酬でもらった手袋が何をするのかってこと。EDでデジールがはめてるのに気づいた（あと、EDの映像は地味だけど曲は大好き）。

I enjoyed this episode far more than the last one, and seeing Ajest drag Desir on the dance floor while the other two got angry was great. I love how jealous both of them are, especially when they aren't getting head pats.
Aside from the name, my biggest curiosity is what does the glove they got as a reward do? I noticed Desir wearing it in the ED (also the ED is boring visually but I love the song).

That's true. And even with that seemingly deus ex setup (felt like this was a game where you have to die once to figure out the correct solution) it still forced quite a bit of suspension of disbelief on the viewer.
After all, the capital city looked like it could quite easily last years in a siege, the challenger was a border town, and probably worn-out from the previous war as well. Then there's the refugees and the neighboring territories, both uncertainties that mean you can't have your army missing for such a long time...

Yeah, suspension of disbelief kinda got thrown out the window here. This isn't even an underdog victory, this is just bad writing and wishful thinking.

そこまで無理があるとは思わないな。難民危機と首都の腐敗を知ってる腕のいい商人なら、その情報を活かせる。それに、食料が無いからって商人に払う手段が無いとは限らない。

I don't think it's unreasonable. A talented merchant knowing about the refugee crisis and the corruption of the capital could use that information. Also not having food doesn't mean they don't have the ways of paying a merchant.

じゃあ、ビルヘルムのあれこれは今回は結局起きなかったの？聖皇帝になったとかなんとかは？その部分がよく分からなかった。どっちにしても、あの世界はクリアして、いつもの面々とも合流したみたいだし、それだけでも良しとしよう。

So all that with Wilhelm didn’t end up happening this time around? He didn’t become the holy emperor or whatever? I’m not too clear on that part. Whatever the case, they seem to have cleared that world and reunited with the whole gang so there’s that at least.

影の世界を正しても、現実はさかのぼって直らない。影の世界が起こしうる被害を防げることと報酬のほかに、クリアして得られる一番のものは、何が間違ってたのかを知ることみたい（今回なら、教皇が闇の儀式のために子どもを生贄にしてたなんて誰も知らなかった）。

Fixing a shadow world does not retroactively fix reality. Besides avoiding the damage a shadow world can cause plus the rewards, it seems like the best thing you get from clearing them is knowledge of what went wrong (so like here no one knew the pope was sacrificing children for dark rituals).

今回ちりばめられてたロマンティカ×デジールの場面、楽しんだ。
どこで全部が狂って、何があれば結末を変えられたのかが見えてしまうのはつらいね。その変化が世界にもっと大きな変化をもたらしてたかもしれない、と考えさせられる。

I enjoy my romantica x desir moments sprinkled this episode.
Sucks being able to see where everything went wrong and what could’ve changed that outcome. And be left wondering how that change could have had even greater changes to the world.

can someone explain the shadow world stuff again? I watched season 1 a while ago but not sure it made sense even back then. I know mc went back in time or whatever after they defeated that boss but not really following anything else happening

影の世界は発生するもので、人類が作れる模擬のもの（1期でアゼストと戦った時計塔みたいなやつ）もあれば、今期の最初の2話でチームが入ってたような本物もある。誰も挑まずに放っておくと、現実の世界を侵食し始める。入ると歴史のある瞬間が再現されて、チームは過去の過ちを正そうとすることになる。ただ、それで歴史が書き換わるわけじゃなくて、その影の世界が消えて被害を出せなくなるだけ。

Shadow worlds are something spawned, there are fake ones humanity can create (like the clock tower from season 1 when he fought Ajest), but there are also real ones like what the team spent the first two episodes of this season in. If they are left uncontested they begin to corrupt the real world. Entering one recreates a moment in history and forces the team to try and undo the wrongs of the past. However doing so does not rewrite history, only destroys the existing shadow world so it cannot cause damage.

Romantica is such best girl that pram doesn’t even get upset with desir hugging her like he does with azest making moves.

細かいとこ忘れてるかもしれないけど、プラムとロマンティカって、どっちかが勝てるように手を組む協定みたいなのを結んでなかったっけ。

Maybe I'm forgetting details but I thought Pram and Romantica basically formed a pact to work together so one of them would win.

1話よりずっと良かったけど、かなり詰め込まれてる感じがした。アゼストとデジールをくっつける流れを作ってるっぽいけど、デジールにはロマンティカと結ばれてほしいんだよな（特にあのEDの後だと🥲）。
影の世界のナレーターっぽいあの子が誰なのか気になる。それと、最後に出てきたのは闇堕ちしたビルヘルム？影の世界が彼を未来に飛ばしたとか？どっちにしても、アカデミーに戻ってきたから、これでいろいろはっきりしてくるといいな。

I thought this episode was a lot better than the first, but it felt very compressed. It looks like they are setting up Zest and Desir, but I really want him and Romantica to end up together (especially after that ED 🥲).
I’m interested in seeing who the girl is who seems to be the narrator in the shadow worlds. And was that a corrupted version of Wilhelm at the end? Maybe the shadow world teleported him to the future? Either way, hopefully everything will be clearer now that we’re back at the academy.

正直、デジールにはアゼストのほうが合ってると思う。ずっと冷静で大人だし、強さでも彼と肩を並べてるから。でも心配しなくて大丈夫だと思うよ。最後にはロマンティカがデジールと結ばれるに決まってる。

I honestly like Zest for Desir better tbh because she so much more level headed, mature and on his level in strength but I’m sure you don’t have to worry, Romantica is definitely gonna end up with Desir in the end.

一瞬、この章はもう1話かかるのかと思ったら、聖都の制圧はさらっと流されて、3人は侵攻を手伝いすらしなかったっぽい。アゼストの氷魔法があれば…だいぶ早く片付いたのに。

For a minute I thought this arc was going to take a third episode before it brushed over taking over the holy capital, and looks like the trio didn't even help with he invasion. Ajest ice magic could have sped things up... a lot.

同じく、3話目までいくと思ってた。たぶん次の影の世界のクエストのために力を温存してるんでしょ。最後の謎の集団は予想してなかったな。影の世界と関係あるのかも

元の時間軸ではこの影の世界をどうやってクリアしたのか気になる。主要キャラは、アゼスト以外いなかったはずだよね？アゼストは優秀な生徒のほうなのに、この影の世界のクリア条件には手を焼いてた。難民を救わずに悪い教皇をただ倒しただけ、とかでもない限りw

I'm curious how the original timeline cleared this shadow world. Since the main cast wouldn't have been there, besides Avest? And she is one of the more capable students, and this shadow world clear requirement had her stumped. Unless she just like killed the evil pope without saving the refugeea lol.

Desire would likely still be there, no? He was at the academy and would still be overpowered, I think the only changes he made so far was getting the team stronger since they died (far after this) during the war

このアニメのボスの仕組みを理解するには1期を見たほうがいいんだろうけど、今日2期の1話で見た、というか見ようとしたのは、人類をほぼ滅ぼした怪物が1分で倒されるところ。戦闘が始まってから終わるまで1分くらい。あんなに簡単に倒せるのに、人類をほぼ滅ぼすまで放っておかれたの？

I should probably watch the first season to understand how bosses work in this anime but what I watched or tried to watch today on episode 1 season 2 was a creature that pretty much destroyed Humanity but it was killed in one minute. From the moment the fight started to the moment the fight ended it was about a minute. That thing was that easy to defeat and yet it was allowed to pretty much destroy Humanity?

何が足りないのか分からないけど、今期はなんかしっくりこない。まず主要キャラの魅力が薄れてる。もしかして制作会社が変わった？

I'm not sure what's missing but this season seems so off. The charm of the main characters is diminished for starters. Maybe it's adapted by a different company now.

Why is the annoying teacher happy what did his students do?
