この作品の受け取り方として正しいのか分からないけど、パロディとして「能力の仕組み」をでっち上げて茶化してるコメディに思える。
たとえば、コーヒーかす占いのアニメを想像してみてくれ。使い終わったコーヒーかすをボウルに入れて泡立て器で混ぜ、そこに出た模様を読んで天気を当てようとする。曲がりが2つある線なんかを見つけると、盛り上がって画面がピカッと光る。
「反発」だの「売りの壁」だのって話を聞いてると、そんな感じがするんだよ

I don't know if this is the proper way to interpret this anime, but it feels like a comedy where they make up s**t about the "power system", as a way of parody.
Like imagine an anime about divination from coffee grounds. They dump some used up coffee grounds into a bowl mix it with a whisker then try to read patterns in it to predict the weather. And there are hype moments and flashes when they find like a line with 2 bends
That's what it feels like to listen to people talk about "rallies", "sell walls", etc

アニメの制作陣は、値動きの感触をつかむために、実際の相場を眺めて研究したのかな。いや、したに決まってる。あの揺さぶられ方の描き方は、見て研究しなかったとは思えないほど上手い。

I wonder if the animation team spent some time watching the market to learn how price should feel when it moves. And by wonder, I mean surely they must have, the animation of the way it shoves about is just too good for them not to have spent time learning what it looks like.

アニメを見てここまでストレスを感じたのは、『タコピーの原罪』『メイドインアビス』『DEVILMAN crybaby』以来かも。

I haven't felt this stressed out watching an anime since something like Takopi's Original Sin, Made in Abyss, or Devilman Crybaby.

萌智子には、まさにボンド映画の悪役の雰囲気がある。膝の白猫をなでながら、くるみの「進み具合を確かめる」電話をかけてくるんだから。くるみを研究のデータの1つとして見ていて、人の不幸を楽しんでもいる。一方のくるみは取引で頭がいっぱいで、萌智子が自分に悪い影響を与えていることに気づかない。萌智子は慰めるふりをしながら、ぞっとする顔でくるみを見ていた。ナレーションも容赦なく、くるみのことを「何も考えていない」などと突っ込んでいた。かわいそうに、息つく暇もない。

Mochiko's got a proper Bond villain vibe, with her giving Kurumi a call to 'check on her progress' while stroking a white cat on her lap.
She also saw Kurumi as a data point in her research and also revelling in the schadenfreude.
Meanwhile, Kurumi's too preoccupied by the trade to realise that Mochiko's a terrible influence on her. Mochiko gave Kurumi quite the terrifying look while nominally comforting her.
The narrator also bluntly roasted her, calling her act 'not thinking at all' among others. Poor woman couldn't catch a break.

根拠のない盲信で悪い判断を重ねて、何か手を打つどころか、神に助けを叫ぶ。くるみのそういう姿は、相変わらず見ていてつらい。しかも、まだ毒のある萌智子とつるんでる。まだ3話なのに、最後にとんでもない大事故が待っていそうな流れだ。
エンドカードで邪神ちゃんが出てきてびっくり！ まあ、どっちも強欲だしな。

Kurumi's bad decision after bad decision made with irrational blind faith and then screaming for God to help her instead of doing something, anything, is still as painful as ever to watch. And she's still hanging around with toxic Mochiko. It's only episode three but it feels like it's building up to a huge train wreck at the end.
Surprise Jashin-chan at the end card! Well, both of them are greedy.

At least Kurumi was able to profit at the end of the episode (for now) but not without making all those poor decisions beforehand and not knowing when to actually cut her losses.

They really should have gotten Fumihiko Tachiki as the narrator with those Kaiji classics. I ended up adding them on my own while watching.

本気で、今まで見た中でいちばん怖いアニメだ。

予想だけど、「不運」っていうのは、このかなり大きな勝ちのせいで、トレードにのめり込むってことだと思う。
くるみは上手くないけど、負けるたびに賭け金を上げていけば、お金は「稼げる」。ただし、どんどん多くの資金が要る。赤に何度も賭けて、勝つまで額を大きくしていくようなものだ。時間がたつほど、額は指数関数的に膨らむけどね。くるみがやったのは、まさにそれだと思う。
とはいえ、ただのアニメで話は続けなきゃいけないから、この先もいろんな悲惨な形で運に恵まれ続けるんだろう。楽しみにしてる。

I predict that the "bad luck" is simply that she's going to get hooked on trading from this fairly large win.
While she's not great at it, you "can" make money by just basically upping the bet every time you're down, even though it requires deeper and deeper pockets. Kind of like betting on red over and over, using larger and larger amounts until you win, though it is exponentially larger amounts over time. I'd say she did just that.
Then again, it's just a show, and it has to go on, so she'll keep getting lucky in various disastrous ways in the future too. Looking forward to it. 😛

Is it an exaggeration to say that this is the anime version of Dostoevsky’s “The Gambler”?
After all, the show feels visceral because it’s based on the writer’s experience from forex trading, just like Dostoevsky wrote “The Gambler” so he could pay off debts that he racked up at the casino.

なぜか、声優さん本人が歌う、あの安上がりな感じの変なOPが本当に好きだ。気分が上がるし、この回の混沌とした空気にぴったり。

For some reason I actually love that wacky budget friendly intro sung by the voice actress. Gets me hyped and it really sets the chaotic tone for the episode.
