The VA for Tayama has one of the best voices I've heard in anime so far. It's so down to earth and soothing. Like how friends normally talk to each other but a bit more relaxing. I could listen to it all day

I think never because Sasaki clearly hold different kinds of affection on them. He admires Yamada the same way Yamada admires totally-not-Sasaki, like a stranger that inspires them, while crushing on Tayama with whom he has a personal relashonship. Those feelings simply can't be in conflict because one is platonic while the other is romantic.

Really thought it was over when the eye catchers came on, but there was more. This is such a treat every week.
When her hair was flying, seems like they were playing with him maybe seeing the similarity with Yamada, but it was interrupted. Well, maybe it wasn't going that way.

Sasaki could tell the story from his side to Tayama. We are just missing the motivation or something in the present to stir him to talk about that time he chewed someone out in Yamada's line. She basically has to be the one to find out first.

The moment I realized Sasaki had his hair went down I was banking so hard on "Tamaya" melting from reuniting with her hero. Guess we did get a taste that (and it was precious) but man, it's tragic how dude's dorkiness got him demoted to be just a reminder of him.

このアニメで本当に嫌なのは、彼女に触れたり触れられたりしたときの彼の悲鳴だ。13歳でもああは振る舞わないのに、彼は40代だ

One thing that I f*****g hate in the anime is his screaming when he touches her or she touches him. Not even 13yo behave like that and he's in his f*****g 40s. In the manga you don't hear the screaming so it's not that obvious. It would elevate the anime and the manga even further up if he just acted his actual age. Other than that I love the story and the relaxed atmosphere. It's a perfect adaptation so far

It was 8 years ago. People tend to forget faces after a while. Especially of people they sparsely interact with. Tokyo is full of tall tired looking middle-aged business men who smoke, and it's also full of cute cashiers with dyed hair. There's like 30 million people there. It's really not a stand out look.
And Sasaki stopped going to that store for several years after they removed the smoking spot out front

この回は、これまでの短い話同士が繋がっている感じがして好きだ。先週までは、どの回も独立している気がし始めていた

I like this episode as it felt like the show had continuity of the previous short stories between them, last week I was starting to feel like everything would always return to the status quo, and it probably still will but the callback to his gift for her was nice.

20歳の年の差があって、変質者に見られるのを恐れて一線を越えたくないのだから、これは理解できる

I mean, considering they have a 20 year age gap and he doesn’t want to cross any boundaries for fear of looking like a creep, I think this is one of the more justified cases.
