話題をさらったのは、新しく出てきた小畑でした。4chan側では「やたら背の高いイケメンが登場したと思ったら、なぜか内気で、人付き合いも苦手だった」という紹介から評価が割れ、「なんでまったり系アニメで毎回こういうことをやろうとするんだ？」という不満と、「いや、可愛くて面白くて愛おしい回だったよ」という擁護が同じスレッドに並びます。
Reddit側が食いついたのは、佐々木の側にも8年前の記憶があったことでした。「それなのに二人とも、それが誰なのかまったく気づいてないの笑う。なんて間抜けなふたり」という一言が、この回の空気をそのまま言い当てています。

公平に見て8年前の話だし、店の名前も変わってるって言ってたから、当時の人がまだいるなんて思う理由がない。それに山田は当時からかなり変わってる。対照的に店長はほとんど変わってないのに、それでも佐々木はまったく覚えてないんだけど。
To be fair it was 8 years ago, and as they mentioned the store had a different name, there is no reason to believe he would think any of the people were still there, not to mention Yamada has changed quite a bit since then. Contrast this to the boss lady who had hardly changed and he still doesn't remember her at all.
それどころか別の店だしな。思い出の中の女の子がとっくにバイトを辞めて、今は全然違う仕事をしててもおかしくない。10代ならごく普通のことだ。
Hell, different store. No reason to think that the girl he's thinking of hasn't just moved on from her part time job and is working an entirely different career at this point. Pretty normal thing for a teen to do.
外から見るとそう思うんだなというのが面白い。日本では髪を染めるのはぜんぜん普通じゃないんだよ、特に働いてる人は笑。派手な格好をするだけでもう規格外。
It's interesting to see this sentiment from an outsider coz hair dye is absolutely not common here in Japan especially if you are employed lol. Even dressing up in a colorful manner is already out of the norm.
二人の記憶は視聴者ほど鮮明じゃなくて、絵というよりぼんやりしたイメージなんだと思う。じゃなきゃ鈍々木は今、山田や田山と同じ髪色で8歳若くて、8年前に同じ場所で会った3人目の女性を知ってることになる。
I'm guessing their memories aren't as clear as it is for the audience more like a vague idea than a picture in their minds. Otherwise Sa-slow ski now thinks he knows a 3rd woman with the same hair colour who is the 8 years younger than Yamada and Tayama that he met 8 years ago in the same location.

The show’s way to make Sasaki look good is by introducing another age gap relationship with an even more nervous guy

For a hot minute there, I thought Sasaki might have a secret son.
Such a tease to have him remember meeting Yamada that time then going with the side characters. But I loved seeing tenchou being genuinely open and kind-hearted to her subordinate. Now she has her own fan #28
人間関係の作り方で、作品に奥行きが出てる。店長みたいな脇役が、特にそうだと思う。
That was definitely a surprising moment! The way they’re building the relationships in the series really adds depth, especially with side characters like tenchou.

Yea wrote the same a couple of episodes ago. That's why I liked the manga more. I love Tayama tho. Her voice and behavior is absolutely perfect in the anime but Sasaki sometimes gets on my nerves with his screaming
この作品は、『正反対な君と僕』みたいにいろんな組み合わせを詰め込むんじゃなくて、特定の味の関係性を売りにしてるんだと思う。

i think it's a matter of the setting is selling a specific flavor of character chemistry rather than having a variety pack like in Polar Opposites
like, they're doubling down on the nervous "gentle giant" guy with an assertive and curt girl chemistry
今回はむしろ、いとおしくて笑えたよ。山田を前にした佐々木を、さらに限界まで強くした感じ。
This is one time I actually found it endearing and hilarious. He's like Sasaki with Yamada turned up to 11

女性と話すだけで、やたら内気になって、謝り続けて、取り乱すタイプが苦手なんだ。佐々木にはほかの面もあるけど、小畑は強調しすぎて、パロディーみたいに感じた。
I can't stand the overly shy, constantly apologizing and emotional wreck when talking to women archetype. At least Sasaki isn't that bad and isn't so one dimensional but this guy was just a parody with how overdone he was.
店長、本当に仕事ができるな。評価が高いのも納得だ。小畑も嫌いじゃないけど、緊張しすぎなところは気になった。山田は佐々木を絶対に渡す気がないね。

She's been possessive of him for long time, ever since Gotou clocked what she was doing at least. After her near heartbreak last week, it makes sense that her jealousy would erupt today
山田は接客スマイルを武器にする方法を身につけたな。怒りを隠すのにも、神々しい輝きで佐々木の目をくらませるのにも使える。
Yamada has truly learned to weaponize her customer service smile. Be it to obscure how pissed she is from Sa-slow-ski or to blind him with her divine radiance.
後藤が本社まで上り詰めたのに、そこから梯子を下りて店長として現場に戻ったって知ったのはなかなか衝撃だった。机で数字とにらめっこするより、現場向きの人間ってのは本当にいる。
シーズンも終盤だけど、やっと小畑に会えて嬉しい。後藤にも自分の佐々木がすぐそばにいたとはね。後藤は佐々木と年が近いから、小畑はたぶん山田と同い年くらいだろう。
It's actually pretty crazy to learn that Gotou managed to reach corporate, only for her to climb down the corpo ladder and return to retail as a branch manager. Some people really are just made for hands-on roles instead of just sitting at a desk crunching numbers all day.
It's a bit late in the season, but I'm glad we finally get to meet Obata! Who knew that Gotou has her very own Sasaki right under our noses? Considering Gotou is close to Sasaki's age, I'm guessing Obata is probably the same age as Yamada.

気分は変わったけど、十話で佐々木以上に不器用な新キャラを出すのは、やっぱり変な感じ。後藤をたくさん見られたのはよかった。
Change of pace, still odd to introduce a new character in the 10th ep who's dorkier than Sasaki. More Gotou is nice though.
そもそも、連載中の漫画を全部映像化するわけじゃない。二期ができたときに、後から辻褄を合わせるより、今出したほうがいい。
I mean it is literally an ongoing manga. This is not a complete adaptation.
Better to introduce him now than have to ret-con things when/if there's a season 2.
これは2期やらないとダメだろ！

原文は「I don't get the Obata hate desu senpai」。4chanの一部の板には、特定の言葉を自動で置き換える仕掛け（ワードフィルター）があり、「tbh（正直）」が「desu」に、「fam（仲間）」が「senpai」に変換されます。つまり元は「正直分からんよ、なあ」くらいの普通の文で、書いた本人が日本語を混ぜたわけではありません。続く書き込みの文末の「desu」も同じ仕掛けによるものです。

総評
そこへ日本在住とみられる人から「外から見るとそう思うんだなというのが面白い。日本では髪を染めるのはぜんぜん普通じゃないんだよ、特に働いてる人は笑。派手な格好をするだけでもう規格外」という補足が入り、議論の前提そのものが覆されていたのが印象的でした。擁護の側からも「公平に見て8年前の話だし、店の名前も変わってるって言ってたから、当時の人がまだいるなんて思う理由がない」と、丁寧な整理が出ています。
4chan側は、いつもの同一人物ネタに戻ります。「待って…山田って実は田山なのか！？」と、もはや定番のボケとして擦られていました。「山田のネイル」と書いた直後に「あ、すまん。田山のネイル」と訂正が入るあたりも、この板らしい遊び方です。
