4chan でいちばん長く続いたのは、材料の頼み方をめぐる読み合いです。「ロゼは嘘がつけない だますのは嘘に当たる」という指摘に続き、「材料は全部本当に必要なんだけど、ハリージュがしょっちゅう、長く通ってくれるように、わざと一つずつ順番に伝えてるんだと思う」という見立ても出ました。
Reddit の話題をさらったのは、ハリージュが来たと思わせた鹿です。「最後の鹿、完全にドヤ顔してたよね？笑」「あのニヤリ顔は完璧だった」と書き込みが集まり、「あの鹿、そこらの量産異世界ものの主人公の9割より個性がある」とまで言われています。ロゼを『サイレント・ウィッチ』のモニカに重ねる声も目立ちます。

少女漫画を見てる女子は間違いなくそう。でも絶望しなくていい、全員がそうってわけじゃない。だいたい恋愛経験がほとんど無い子だけ。一度でも暴力やモラハラをする男に当たったら、たいていは考えを変えるよ。
The girls who consume shoujo definitely do. Don't despair, though, not all of them are like this. It's usually just the ones with little to no relationship experience. Come up against one physically/emotionally abusive guy and most will change their mind.
全然乗れないわ。どうせ騎士は惚れ薬を口実に魔女のところへ通ってるか、魔女に使うつもりってオチなのが見え見えだし。
もう一つあるとしたら、どっかのチャラい王子様、つまり将来の恋敵候補あたりに無理やり調達させられてるパターン。
I can't muster any fucks, since i just know the twist is gonna be that the knight guy is using the potion as an excuse to hang around the witch or intends to use it on her.
The other is that some kind of prince fuckboy i.e. potential rival in the future, forced him to procure one.

If I stopped watching anime because I could guess the twists I'd never watch any anime. Just enjoy the journey.

I've read the novels way back and I genuinely enjoyed this. It's also one of the very few novels where I was able to finish it which is saying something for me.

For now Kaiju girl was notable better for me in general. Witch has only animation and backgrounds better for now.

I mean fair enough but it's only the first eppy. Kuroe had the advantage of being a unique shoujou femc with her kaijuness. Rose feels alot more standard. But there's room for her to get more intresting. Also she's cute cute cute

We had 4 haste potions, 4 antitoxin, 4 heroism potions and a bunch of fairy dust.
Not like we needed all that for the goblins but when you go into battle you have to bring your strongest potions.

I don't believe it's random because it would technically be lying. I think she does need all of those ingredients but she's deliberately telling him them one at a time in an order that ensures he's back often and for a long time. I could be wrong, obviously, but then that first line would be questionable

ちょっとネタバレ：ロゼは嘘をつかずにハリージュをからかうんだ。この先、月に一度の決まった日にしか採れない素材を、その日の翌日に頼んで、惚れ薬作りを丸一か月止めたりする。
A slight spoiler [spoiler]she trolls him without lying, in the future she asks for a material that can only be gathered in a specifc day of the month on the next day which will stall the potion making for an entire month.[/spoiler]

I think otome anime are the peak of the artform. While individual works from other genres might be better, otome are consistently enjoyable. They're unabashed wish fulfillment and the lack of flashy moments means the whole thing is usually well animated

1話目としてはかなり手堅かった。ほんのちょっとだけ『サイレント・ウィッチ』を思い出した。ロゼは人見知りじゃないモニカって感じ笑 惚れ薬の件がどう転ぶのかちょっと楽しみ。OPを見ればこの二人がくっつくのは明らかだしね。たぶん勘違いオチだと思う。ハリージュは誰か別の人のために頼んだとかじゃないかな。
This was a pretty solid premiere episode. It sort of reminded me a tiny bit of Secrets of the Silent Witch. Rose is a little like Monica without the social anxiety lol. I’m a bit keen to see how this love potion stuff plays out, since it’s pretty clear from the OP these two are gonna be an item. Gonna guess it’s a misunderstanding. He probably made it for someone else or something.
モニカはチート級に強い。ロゼにできるのは惚れ薬作りと、ほかの薬作り（たいていは病気の薬）と、レタス栽培。
Monica is superpowered. Rose can make love potions, make other potions (usually disease remedies), and grow lettuce.
ロゼと猫猫は気が合いそう。

I've not seen it yet, but if that's the case I'm 100% hyped. I loved Silent Witch a lot and am definitely hoping for a second season.

設定は『シャンピニオンの魔女』の方が近いと思った。魔女は疎まれてるのに、その薬は使われてるところ。ロゼが森で一人暮らししてるところ。孤独なところ。ちょっと報われなさそうな恋なところまで。全部あの作品と重なる。ただ雰囲気は全然違うし、こっちの方が作りはずっと良さそう。
I found this setting closer to Champignon Witch. The way witches are ostracised while their remedies are used. Rose living off by herself in the woods. Her loneliness. Even a bit of the doomed romance. All has parallels to that show. Though the tone is very different and the production here seems a lot better.
同じこと思った。『サイレント・ウィッチ』にこうなってほしかったっていうのを、こっちがやってくれそう。あっちは学園ものになった時点で離れたけど、これはついていけそう。
I had the same thought. This is going to be for me what I wanted the silent witch to be like. When it went to school it lost me, but I think I'm on board for this.
これはどう見ても恋愛ものだけど、『サイレント・ウィッチ』はどっちかというと冒険ものだよ。恋愛アニメをほとんど見たり読んだりしてない人でもなきゃ、『サイレント・ウィッチ』がこういう話だと思う理由が分からない。キービジュアルも単行本の表紙も、全然恋愛っぽくないし。『フリーレン』みたいな話だと思うなら分かるけど、この作品みたいとは思わないでしょ。
This is very clearly a romance series while Silent Witch is more of an adventure series. I can't really see how you'd think Silent Witch would be like this unless you have watched/read very few romance anime. None of the key art/volume covers looks romantic. Maybe I could see thinking Silent Witch being like Frieren but not like this show.
絵柄がきれい。背景もすごく良かった。
シリアスとコミカルの落差が楽しかった。あと、ハリージュに魔女と呼ばれたロゼが「良い魔女です」って言い直す細かいところも良かった。
設定は面白そうだから、やりすぎたりウザくなったりせずに上手く展開していってほしい。
この先も見てみる。
The art style is beautiful. Some really nice backgrounds as well.
I enjoyed the contrast between the seriousness and goofiness. And the little detail when she corrected the knight when he called her a Witch by adding "I'm the good Witch"
The concept sounds nice, hope they can transition nicely without it being overdone or becoming annoying.
Will check out more episodes.

Makes you wonder if it's because she wants to empathize that she's good for the sake of how bad witch reputation is or that she knows now in her adult years that there are some witches that gave them the bad reputation that lead to the celebration of her grandmothers' death.
あれは4年前のハリージュの言葉を拾ってるんだと思う。魔女のおばあちゃんの悪口を言ってた連中をハリージュがたしなめた場面。ロゼと目を合わせながら「彼女が『良い』魔女であることを祈っておくんだな」って言ってた。
ロゼはこの回で、本当に望んでるのはハリージュに思い出してもらうことだけだって言ってる。わざとハリージュの言葉を使ってるんだと思う。
I think it's a call back to the knight's words four years earlier when he reprimanded the jerks talking smack about Granny Witch. He tells them "you best pray that she's a 'good' witch" while making eye contact with Rose.

結末の読みも割れました。「どうせ騎士は惚れ薬を口実に魔女のところへ通ってるか、魔女に使うつもりってオチなのが見え見えだし。」という冷めた書き込みに「オチが読めるからってアニメを切ってたら、何ひとつ見られなくなるぞ。過程を楽しめよ。」と返す人がいて、さらに「悪いね、俺向けじゃないわ。」と返っています。Reddit では同じ予想が好意的に語られ、「ハリージュは分かってて、惚れ薬はロゼに使うつもりなんじゃないかな笑」「片思いじゃない可能性はけっこうあると思う。」といった声が並びました。
