男たちの行動はキャロラインに操られているからだと理解できるけど、エリンまで急に普段の彼女らしくなくなったのには、ちょっと驚いた。いつもの彼女らしくない、とげのある言葉だった。どうしてこうなったんだろう？

I really do hope that Pia and Rufus will do something about Caroline. Because I’d hate to see Erin and the other girls all be sad.

I can understand the boys’ behaviour having been manipulated by Caroline’s actions, but I was sort of surprised that Erin suddenly didn’t seem herself either. Her words were uncharacteristically bitter. How did this happen?

ゲームが女の子たちを、より悪役令嬢らしく変えているのかな。それとも、本当に腹を立てて苦々しく思っているから、気持ちがゆがんで普段らしくない行動になるのかな？　キャロラインへの不満に理由がないわけじゃない。でもエリンも自分の言葉が自分らしくないと思っていた。ヘンリーの振る舞いが、いつもの彼らしくなかったように。

Honestly I can only imagine how Amelia is going to react when she found out Philip went on a date with another woman at the theater. Like, did he totally ditch her? Was that date supposed to be the two of them instead? Did she get booted out of the princes' seat?

Also imagine that "volunteer work" was something Jeremy was supposed to do with his fiancé who he ditched to hang out with Caroline.

I wonder, is the game turning the girls' more Villainess like or is it just genuine resentment/bitterness that's warping their mind to make them act out of character? Because it's not like their frustration towards Caroline isn't justified. But Erin also thought she wasn't sounding like herself, just like Henry wasn't acting like himself.

This would imply that everybody, except for Pia and Caroline, is just a puppet in the face of the game’s logic. Kind of terrifying, right? If so, Rufus could be helpless against Caroline’s schemes.

Alternatively, their free will is simply being manipulated through Caroline’s actions. Considering the sudden change in Erin’s attitude, there’s something going on beyond Caroline knowing what to tell these boys.

キャロラインが実在すると分かったのに、ピアが何もかも話してしまわないのは、ちょっとどうかと思う。彼が彼女から聞き出さなかったのも。それに、みんなが仲よくしているのを見て、お菓子のことを考えなかったのも変な感じだ。だって、ゲームでプレイする物語は明らかにああじゃないよね？　あんなに賢いのに、一人の女の子があらゆるカップルの間に入り込んでいるのを、どうして怪しいと思わないんだろう（笑）。もしかすると、本当の世界ではなくゲームの中にいると思っているのかな。あるいは、最初から抗いようがないと思ってしまうのか。
転生したプレイヤーなのに、あまり詳しくはなさそうだね（笑）。

It seems kinda silly that Pia hasn't blurted everything out now that Caroline was real.. Or that he didn't get it from her. And it seems silly the she didn't think about the cookies when seeing how happy everyone was together... Coz that's clearly not the story you play in the game right? Soooo how can someone that smart not see how suspicious it is that a girl called between all of these couples lol. Or maybe she actually believes she's in the game and not a real world... Or just immediately think there's no way to fight against it.

She doesn't seem to be a very knowledgeable reincarnated player at all lol

誰の転生なのかといえば、分かりやすい候補は、ピアと一緒に殺されたあの女子高生だと思う。でも、ゲームの主題歌を歌っていた別の人もいたよね。
ヒロインと悪役令嬢だけでなく、もっとこのゲームに転生している人がいるのかな？

I think the obvious suspect for who she's reincarnated from is that high school girl who was murdered alongside Pia, but there was also that other person who sang the game OP.

Could there be more reincarnated into this game than just the Heroine and Villainess?

I really dislike Pia not fighting againts Caroline. All her friends are going to lose their fiance's at this point, she should warn Rufus about the macarons or anything that she bakes.

前にも書いたけど、世界と登場人物が現実になったとき、ゲームの仕組みがどう働くのか、ピアには本当に分かっていないんだよ。
エリンが急にとげのある態度になったときに示唆されたように、悪役令嬢らしく行動することを強いられるのか？　ヘンリーのように、すでに愛する人がいても関係なく、攻略対象はみんな必ずキャロラインを好きになるのか？　そもそも、この世界にヒロインと物語がどのくらい影響するのか？
ピアがあんなに無力感を抱くのには理由がある。実質的には、現実をねじ曲げる相手に、情報面で極端に不利な状態で向き合っている。それに今は、キャロラインも全ルートをそらで知っているプレイヤーらしいから、その差がさらに広がった。だからこそピアもルーファスも、何かを「発動」させないよう、とにかくキャロラインから離れようとしてきた。少なくとも今は、ヒロインと攻略対象が出会うだけでは何も起きない、といったことが、少しは分かってきている。
少なくともゲーム内では、お菓子が態度の変化に関わっていたらしいという強い手掛かりがある。でも、その仕組みが現実でどう表れるかは、まだ情報不足だ。次回、仕組みがもっとはっきりして、ルーファスとピアが進む道を見つけられるといいな。

I've commented on this before, but Pia literally has no clue as to how the game will mechanically function when the world & characters have become her reality.

Will it force her to act like a villainess, like what was hinted at with Erin's sudden bitterness? Will it inevitably cause all the love interests to fall for Caroline, no matter whether they already loved someone or not (like in Henry's case)? How much effect does the Heroine & the storyline even have on this world?

There's a reason Pia just feels so helpless, she's essentially facing off against a reality-warper with an extreme information disadvantage, doubled now because Caroline seems to be a Player who knows all the game routes by heart as well. Because of this, both Pia & Rufus have made every effort to just stay away from Caroline the entire time so as to not "trigger" anything. At least now, they are understanding _some_ things, like the fact that the "heroine" & "love interest" simply encountering each other is not enough to trigger anything.

There's strong hints that the Candy may have had something to do with the behavior change - in-game at least - but we still lack enough information about how that mechanic will reflect in real life. Perhaps the next episode will make the mechanics clearer so that Rufus & Pia can forge a path forward.

ヘンリーが、ほかのカップルまで壊している女性のためにエリンを置き去りにして、彼女がひどく傷つくのを見るのはつらかった。心の中で、悪役令嬢のように反応することを少しずつ正当化していくのも、ヘンリーがあんなに普段の人物像から外れた行動をするのも。
主役二人を引き裂こうとする金髪の「恋敵」が二人もいるのは、偶然とは思えない。

Honestly seeing Erin be so heartbroken over Henry basically ditching her for another woman who is also homewrecking a bunch of other couples, seeing her mind slowly rationalize reacting to her like a Villainess, seeing Henry act so OOC, was tough to watch.

I can't think it's a coincidence that we've got two blonde "love rivals" trying to break up the main couple.

ピアがキャロラインのことでパニックになっていないとき、主役二人があんなに仲むつまじく、愛情たっぷりなのが本当に好き。

Honestly I love how lovey-dovey and affectionate the main couple is when Pia isn't having a panic attack over Caroline.

I think it's the mix of Pia and Rufus being very adorable together, the mystery surrounding Caroline and how she was able to brainwash all the other characters and how our characters are going to stop her.

That's not the real Henry. The real Henry adores Erin, her personality, and wouldn't reject her for someone more "traditionally feminine."

Even Philip. We saw how much he adored his fiance in episode 2, he would never in his right mind go on a date with some random woman he barely knows.

えっ、ピアは本当に友達を助けないの？　注意も、事前の知らせも、何もなく、自分の関係さえ壊されなければ、あとは各自で考えろってこと？　まあ、話していたときのヘンリーはエリンのことになると頑固で嫌なやつだったし、もう接触した後では、できることはあまりないのかもしれないけど。
事情を聞いているルーファスは、あの手口には引っかからないと思う。だから余計に、ほかのみんなに知らせないのはよくない。でも、彼まで引っかかったら、みんなゲームの筋に乗せられることになる。そうなればピア一人に懸かってくるけど、彼女はうまく対応できていない。
デート自体はすごくかわいかった。二人のキスを人々が見守っているのも面白かった。

Wait, is Pia really not gonna help her friends? No warnings, no heads up, no nothing, as long as she's not the one getting homewrecked then it's on them to figure out? I mean I guess Henry was an unyielding ass about Erin during the exchange, there's not much to do post exposure now.

I think that since Rufus has been informed that he's not gonna fall for the whole schtick, which makes not giving everyone else a warning worse, but if he does then they'll all be forced onto the game plot, so then it is all up to Pia, and she's not handling things great,

The date itself was pretty cute, the crowd just watching them kiss was funny.

You know how many people irl ignore their friends warnings or even attack them for being 'jealous'/'hater', only to apologize after the breakup?

その「予言」には、自分がキャロラインをいじめる悪役令嬢になって、物語の最後の出来事に至る、という部分もある。あの結末を避けるために、問題自体を避けようとしてるんだよ。

Part of the "prophecy" is that she becomes the villainess that bullies Caroline, leading to the end events of the story. She tries to avoid the problem to avoid that ending.

「こんにちは。この世界に魔法なんてほぼありませんが、内気で引きこもり気味の変わった私を信じてください。人当たりのいい女の子が、何年後かに、互いに違う大勢の男性を魔法のクッキーで洗脳するんです」
それを信じる？　それとも「分かった」と言って、数日後には忘れてる？

"Hi, magic doesn't really exists here but I, the shy almost recluse weird girl, want you to trust me that a random charismatic girl will brainwash all of you disparate diverse men with magic cookies in this amount of years."

Would you believe that or "ok" and forget what she said days later?

でも、この女の子にはすでに、彼女を完全に信頼する、地位も権力も影響力もある婚約者がいる。その人なら、ほかの人にも信じてもらえるよう、もっと納得のいく話に包んで伝えられたはずだ。

Except this girl already has a fully trusting High profile fiancé, who has a lot of power and influence, that easily could have wrapped the story up in a more believable story for others to believe.

緑のドレスは最初どうかなと思ったけど、あれを着て眼鏡をかけたピア、すごくかわいかった！　酔って、ルーファスに対してずっと素直になって、距離が近くなるのも好き。
ところで、ルーファスがピアを本当に愛しているのは知っていたけど、上演中ずっと膝に座らせて、見つめてキスしているとは思わなかった。欲張りだな！
全体として、今回はキャロラインがヘンリーたち攻略対象を積極的に追いかけ、そのせいで、かわいそうなエリンがアカデミーを休むことになり、話がぐっと動いた。
今度はキャロラインがルーファスを狙う！　彼がどう対応するのか楽しみだ。

I wasn't so sure about that green dress, but in it and with her glasses Pia looked so cute! I also love that, while drunk, Pia became much more honest and closer with Rufus.

By the way, I knew that Rufus really loved Pia, but I didn't expect that he'd keep her on his lap for the entire performance, just watching and kissing her; he's so greedy!

Overall, this episode really picked up the pace thanks to Caroline actively chasing after Henry and the other love interests, and by that making poor Erin take a break from the academy.

And now Caroline wants to go after Rufus! I look forward to seeing how he'll handle the whole situation.

そもそも、こんな上流社会の場で、よく知らない相手を口説くのは何なんだ？　下級貴族の六女か、公爵家の跡取り娘かも分かってないのに。この男、実質ロシアンルーレットをやってるよ。

I mean, who the hell hits on random people in a high class environment like this? Dude has no clue whether he's hitting on some random low noble 6th daughter or the heiress of a duke. Dude is basically playing Russian roulette.

このジャンルは好きだけど、主人公には、どんどん愚かさでいらいらさせられるようになってきた。
まず、何年も前に、ほかの攻略対象と婚約者たちに、目立たないように話しておくか、自分の婚約者にそうしてもらうべきだった。
次に、前世では大人だったんだから、少なくともお菓子の仕組みを怪しんで、何か注意をしておくべきだった。
第三に、教育を受けた大人なら、簡単な論理はたどれるはず。つまり、いつかはヒロインと関わらざるを得ないんだから、内密に情報を集め、不正や怪しい動きがないか調べて、負ける筋が固定されているのか、自分の行動で変えられるのかを確かめるほうが賢い。何も変えられないなら、早く知るほうがいい。結果を変えられるなら、助けてくれるかもしれない周囲の人が次々に取り込まれたり、誘惑されたり、地位や権力、人脈、信用を失ったりする中で、現実から目をそらして隠れるのは最悪の手だ。科学をやってきた人なのだから、それを理解できるくらいの論理性はあるはず。
少しだけ評価するのは、お酒の助けがあったとはいえ、本当の愛情を婚約者に表せたこと。少なくとも互いの気持ちについて本人たちが知っている範囲では、婚約者の一方的で支配的な執着みたいになりかけていた。もちろん視聴者は心の声を知っているけど。前世もある年齢だし、前世ではひどい恋人に利用されていたから、男と何度かキスした経験くらいはあるだろう。だから今の婚約者にも、それくらいはできると思う。「いずれ追放されるなら、しないほうが傷つかずに済む」とは言えるけど、愛情は十分強い。繰り返すけど、別の結果を少しでも望むなら、自分の意思で彼にキスするのは、そちらに進む筋の通った一歩に思える。

I have to say that while I love this genre, the MC is becoming more and more stupidly frustrating.

She should have spoken discreetly to the other capture targets and their fiances years ago or had her fiance do so for one.

Secondly, she was a real life adult and should have been suspicious of the sweets mechanic at the very least and given some warning.

Thirdly, as an educated adult, she can easily follow some simple mathematical logic. By this, I mean obviously they'll have to interact with the heroine at some point, so it is smarter to discreetly gather data and investigate any potential wrongdoing or funny business plus confirm if she's facing a scripted loss or if her actions can change anything. If nothing can be changed, knowing sooner is better. If she can change the outcome, then burying her head in the sand and hiding while everyone around her who might be able to help is quickly captured/seduced or loses their standing/power, connections, and credibility is the worst move she can make. She's from a science background and should be logical enough to understand this.

The one thing I'll give a tiny bit of credit for is that she actually - with the help of alcohol - expressed some genuine affection for her fiance. It was kind of getting to the point of one-sided controlling obsession by her fiance at least from what either knew about the other's feelings (obviously audience knows inner thoughts). She's old enough and thanks to previous life with s****y exploitative boyfriend has probably at least kissed a guy a couple times, so I feel like she should be capable of that with her fiance here. And while you can make the "it will hurt less if I don't when I'm eventually exiled" argument, her affection is strong enough and again... if you hold any hope of an alternative then kissing him of her own will seems like a logical step in the right direction.

キャロラインも異世界から来た人なのか。ピアも酔ってルーファスに追加の事情を十分話したから、彼はもっと警戒していいはず。
ルーファスがまだ動いていないのは少し意外だけど、あの国では法の支配が強くて、証拠なしには逮捕させられないのかもしれない。普通ならそれはよいことだけど、今の状況だけは別だ。その間、エリンたちが苦しむのは残念だ。

I'm a little surprised Rufus hasn't already taken action but maybe their country's rule of law is strong enough they can't actually just have her arrested sans evidence, which is generally a good thing except for this exact situation. Shame Erin and the other heroines get to suffer in the meantime though.

If this really is all due to the cookies they've told us about, surely those can be tracked down and examined. Prove that and Caroline would likely be in a great deal of trouble for dosing the prince and other nobles with mind altering chemicals.

Rufus has been prepping for Caroline to confront him for decades, I’m sure he’s got this! Well, he is missing some massive plot points, like the cookies being poisoned to make him fall for her..

Anyway, said it last episode aswell, Pia is a terrible friend. Knew exactly what was going to happen and did nothing for her.

エリンを助けるために何もしないピアへの批判は出ると思うし、もっともな批判だ。でも、ゲームが無理やり物語をなぞらせるなら、何もできない可能性があるのも明らかだ。キャロラインへの攻撃的な行動は、どれも予定どおり彼女を悪役令嬢にしてしまう。今の状況で、実際に結果が出るような何をピアができると思われているのか、自分には分からない。
それから、キャロラインが確定した以上、転生者は三人いる気がする。ピアを口説いた男もそうで、彼が関係を壊す黒幕、キャロラインは無邪気にゲームをしているだけ、ということでも驚かない。あるいは、二人で分かっていて関係を壊しているのか。

I know people will critique Pia for not doing anything to help Erin and it's a fair critique, but it's clear if the game forcibly continues to match the story there might not be anything she can do. Any act of aggression to Caroline would basically make her the villainess as planned. I'm not sure what people think Pia can do in this situation that will actually yield results.

Also I have a feeling there's three reincarnated people, with Caroline being confirmed. I wouldn't be surprised if that guy that hit on Pia is also one and the main antagonist homewrecker, while Caroline is innocently playing the game. Or they both are in on being homewreckers.

Anyone else feel like Erin and Henry were reading from a script as though it wasn't their words? It looks like Pia knocked Erin out of the script but Henry was acting like Erin was still there and interacting with him. This is getting more and more suspicious.

エリンはその企みの最初の犠牲者で、ヘンリーは厄介事でも手放すようにエリンを捨てて、自分が大馬鹿だと証明してしまった。本当に彼女がかわいそう。
ルーファスとピアのものすごくかわいいデートの後に、あのつらい引き。今はもう、キャロラインを好きになることを強いるゲームの筋に、ルーファスが流されないと信じるしかない。

Caroline has entered the stage, and she is even more dangerous than expected, as she seems to be reincarnated just like Pia. So she knows the game and the whole story and is determined to get the good ending.

Erin is the first victim of Carolines schemes, and Henry proofs that he is a total idiot and drops Erin like a hot potato. I feel really sorry for her.

After this amazingly cute date between Rufus and Pia we got this awful cliffhanger. Now we can only trust Rufus that he won't be swept away by the plot of the game that forces him to fall in love with Caroline.

It appears she's enchanted all the capture targets bar Rufus. But I'm guessing that her conversation with Rufus isn't going to go the way she thinks/wants as Rufus will no doubt show distain/hostility toward her and refuse to accept any cookies/sweets from her. I'm also guessing thus will cause her to double down in her efforts and probably target Pia

So MC really is too dumb to realize magic brainwashing snacks are involved, even when the song about them is the only one she knows by heart. On the other hand, she's got really good hearing, being able to hear something that the Heroines murmurs to herself at least 50 feet away with a closed window between them.

And Rufus MUST be getting word about the Heroine's conquests, right? Would be dumb of him to not open an investigation of how it's happening. Plus with the Prince involved, that's should be the highest priority matter for the entire Kingdom....

I assumed the blond pickup artist would be the Heroine's brother, but wrong family plus she's not supposed to have one. But given that he was probably the one shown making those brainwashing cookies, he must be working with her anyway.

Her "I've done nothing and I'm all out of ideas" approach is a little jarring.

Why is she putting all her effort into a contingency plan and not trying to do a single thing to stop it in the first place? Especially when it's actively hurting people she supposedly cares about (Erin).

You have to remember we learned in a previous episode that Erin's parents were in a loveless marriage and that it made her childhood miserable, which is why she was so desperate for a more positive relationship with Henry. Him suddenly turning away from her goes against literally everything she's desired and fought for in their relationship, so it's completely unsurprising that she would be so upset and bitter in comparison to her usual self.

Yeah so far i think we are meant to think Caroline is reincarnated but i think its actually the blonde guy who made the cookies and it giving Caroline all the info. That is why she had it all written down. He is feeding her the info.

I hate how she had literal years to mention it or prepare for it, but apparently did none of that for some reason.

I really wonder how in-depth the "prophecy" was because it doesn't seem like she's given Rufus a lot of detail to work from in counteracting Caroline considering they don't seem to have done much other than try to keep Pia away from her while letting her worm her way into four other couples.

I feel like people are unfortunately so used to the trope that the protagonist knows every single detail of the game when everything I've gotten here seems to imply the opposite in this case—she played it a bit around her work and has a general idea of how things work, but she doesn't remember every single detail.

Like, literally in this episode she was stunned to see Caroline appear at the theatre, whereas the latter is likely reincarnated and progressing through each love interest's route. She's not omniscient about the story and is terrified of things going wrong, and has already told Rufus everything that she knows from what we can understand.

Other than Rufus, who would believe her totally ridiculous story? People seem to think that warning people would help -- but I think it would just get her put in a facility for the mentally troubled (if these exist in this world).

ルーファスは自分とピアに、キャロラインの「魔法」に対する「予防接種」をするため、できることは全部した気がする。普通なら、かなり「はしたない」とされるようなことまで。このおかげで、キャロラインが何を仕掛けてきても、強い抵抗力ができているといいな。

I am feeling Rufus has done absolutely everything he could to "innoculate" himself and Pia against Caroline's "spell". Even to doing things that, in the ordinary course, would be considered rather "improper". Hopefully this has created a serious resistance to what ever Caroline will try to pull.

What if there's more to it with the cookies. It makes sense... No one else can cook, and in the game the cookies get them to like you more lol. Hilarious if it's drugs. But it's probably magic. Or something.
