It's busywork, but also a way for Eris to strengthen her fundamentals.
As the sword god said, she should swing until she can't, then she should think. And once she's too tired to think, she should swing again.
The idea behind the thinking being that she of course reflects on what she wants to do, how to achieve it, try to think of better ways to achieve it, think about how the others did it, how she could emulate it or if she even should, and so on.
After some enlightenment, she would undeniably then use what she thought about during her swinging exercise.

The creator god split himself into the six and gave birth to them.
They're like daedric princes for their realms if the god dies the world dies too and are fundamentally different existences from normal humanoids.
Reading ODT Orsted is nowhere close to the six, but well he is strong especially due to the loops and various techniques he's picked up he 's confident he can challenge hito and win.
Although that makes me think Hito's a bit nerfed right now.

本当に1期の水準に戻った感じがする。第1話が圧倒的だったし、しかも良い章だ。この修行道場の空気が全部好き。ルーデウスの2期の学園より、こっちのほうがずっと面白い

It actually does feel back to season 1 quality. Phenomenal first episode, and great arc at that, love the whole training dojo vibes here. I like this way more than Season 2 school with Rudeus, feels much more entertaining.
