Reddit で盛り上がったのは、ヒロの夢の小ささです。「銀河最強の宇宙船を持ってるのに、考えてるのは住宅ローンのことだ」「願いがかなうファンタジーの異世界ものですら、持ち家はほぼ無理なんだな」と、自分の暮らしに引きつけて笑う書き込みが並びました。調理機アイアンシェフVにも「本体は安く売って、カートリッジを買うために臓器を売らせるんだろうな」と、プリンターのインク商法を重ねる声があがっています。

ペース的に、今週は1巻の終わりを急がず、来週で1巻を締めるみたいだ。4巻の終わりまで1クールで駆け抜けるより、3巻と6巻でクールを終える分割2クールの可能性のほうが高いと見てる。まあ今期は13話あるから、4巻を急いで詰め込む余地もまだあるけど。
Pace wise, they didn't rush the end of volume 1 this week and will have the end of the volume next week. Would give more credit to a split cour series that has cours end on volumes 3 and 6, over a 1 cour series rushing to finish at the end of volume 4, though there is some leeway to still rush volume 4 with there being 13 episodes this cour.

でも前回のシャワーと違って、今回のはアニメオリジナルのシャワーシーンなんだ（漫画とラノベでは二人がシャワーに入ったって書いてあるだけ）。だから、漫画を下敷きにしたせいで濃い湯気が必要なアングルになった、って話じゃない。新しくシャワーシーンを作っておいて、全面的に湯気で隠す前提とは思えないカットを選んでるんだ。
Unlike the shower last time though, this was an anime original shower scene (the manga and LN just noted the two of them going into the shower), so it isn't like they were just using angles which needed the heavy steam because they were otherwise just using the manga as a base. They created this new shower scene, then choose shots which make no sense for something intended to have full steam censorship.

Not one shot censored with steam or light beams this week was in the manga at all, the anime decided to add the scenes with angles they added full blown censorship too. All that was seen with Elma's s*x scene is in >>291697842 or this image in the LN while the shower scene is anime original.

そこなんだよ。先週のシャワーシーンは漫画を1:1でアニメにして、それに規制をかけた。この手のアニメ化ではよくあることだ。でも今週は、アニメオリジナルのサービスシーンをいろいろ足しておいて、そこら中に湯気をかけた（事後の新しい裸のカットには光線）。
変なのは、たぶん外さないであろう規制をたっぷりかけるくせに、わざわざそういうシーンを足したことだ。今週の漫画には（先週のシャワーと違って）湯気や光線が要るような場面なんて一つも無かったんだから、漫画どおり1:1でやればよかったのに。
That is the point, last weeks shower scene they just adapted the manga 1:1, then censored it, which is what usually happens with these kinds of adaptions. This week on the other hand they decided to add a bunch of anime original fanservice, but then throw steam everywhere (or light beams in the new post s*x scene nude shot).
The weird thing is adding all that when they then used a ton of censorship that they probably won't undo, instead of sticking 1:1 with the manga which had nothing this week (unlike the shower last week) that would have had steam or lightbeams.

The point is, they created, they didn’t take things away, they simply can’t show what they intended to. It’s a matter of expressing themselves however the way they can.
Essentially, they want to demonstrate that, if it were up to them, there would be no censorship, it’s all just to meet the demands of overseas streaming.
海外配信だけが問題なら、足した湯気の一枚くらい簡単に消せるはずだ。でもBDですらやらないだろうな。
If overseas streaming was the only problem, they could easily remove a layer of steam added too, but they won't for even BDs.

There isn't really a set rule for what is or isn't allowed, it's basically the work as a whole, they terrify the creators forcing them to tread carefully, there's also the issue of the age ratings that these platforms invent, nobody wants a high age rating, especially in Japan where it basically doesn't exist.

the Elma situation went as expected, that with no ship of her own anymore and needing to pay for the damages, she ends up joining Hiro and Mimi. at least now her debt is to Hiro who probably doesn't care too much about how long it takes to pay off.

なんで帝国政府が闇金みたいなことしてるんだ。しかも、やってたのは男一人で、ただの嫌がらせ？何なんだそいつ。セレナには大掃除が必要みたいだな。エルマのバッドエンドに比べたら、入院だけじゃ軽すぎる。
Why is the Imperial government acting like loan sharks. And it was a dude doing it to be petty? Wtf is wrong with him? Looks like Serena has some housekeeping to do. Just getting hospitalized is way too light for what the Bad End would've been for Elma.
エルマが払う賠償の額自体は、妥当だったんだよ。セレナから見て問題だったのは、とんでもなく短い期限の方。
The amount of damages Elma had to pay was actually proper; it was the exceedingly short time frame she was given which was the issue from Serena's perspective.
つまり、（妥当だとしても）莫大な借金を1週間で返せって言うのは、「隠れ金持ちでもなきゃ払えない」って言ってるようなもんだ。エルマはそこそこ成功した傭兵として描かれてるのに、持ち物を全部売っても、まだ全然足りなかった。現実的に払う方法が無いなら、額が妥当でも大した意味は無い。しかもあの監獄は、ただの借金持ちじゃなく、かなり荒っぽい囚人を送る場所みたいだし。
I mean, giving someone a massive (even if warranted) debt with a 1-week payoff period is basically saying "you can't pay this unless you're secretly rich". Like, Elma is shown to be a fairly successful mercenary, and even selling literally everything she owned still left her a huge ways off. Having the amount owed be proper doesn't mean much when there's no way to realistically pay, especially since the prison sounds like the place where they send super rough inmates, not simple debtors.
一番の推しをゲット。しかも本人が思ってた以上の意味で。
まったくどうでもいい余談だけど、主人公がなんでこんなに射撃がうまいのか、ちょっと気になる。操縦は、シミュレーションに凝りすぎたゲームのおかげで説明がつく。でもFPSのゲームと本物の銃は、反動なんかがあって全然違う。しかも、ほぼノースコープで撃ってたし、たいていのFPSはスコープが標準でついてる。それに日本は銃の規制がすごく厳しいから、実際に撃った経験があるとも思えない。
大したことじゃないけど、別に筋が通らなくても、何でもかんでも無駄に最強にしちゃってるのはちょっと残念だ。射撃がうまくないと困るなら、エルマに教わればよかった。これじゃエルマの腕前の意味が薄れる。ゲームばかりしてた会社員って経歴なのに、なぜか最初から何でもできちゃうんだから。
Best Girl recruited, in more ways than he expected.
As a completely meaningless aside, I kinda wonder why MC-san is so good at shooting. Piloting can be explained by the game being needlessly in-depth with simulations, but FPS games are very different from shooting real guns because of the recoil and such. Plus he basically no-scoped it, while most FPS games have the scope by default. And Japan has super tight gun control laws, so it'd be hard for him to have irl experience.
It really doesn't mean much, but it's a bit of a shame that they're just making him needlessly OP at everything even when it doesn't necessarily make sense. If they needed him to be good at shooting, they could've just let Elma teach him. This just makes Elma's skills feel more meaningless, since he's inexplicably good at everything already despite his background being an office worker who played a lot of video games.
原作では、ステラオンラインにもFPSの要素があって、彼はそれも得意だったと軽く説明されてる。それにレーザーピストルには反動も可動部品も無いから、その点で慣れる必要がそもそも無い。あと1話を見返すと、ヒロがミミを襲ったチンピラを撃つとき、射撃を助ける何か特別なことが起きてる。
（全部、アニメがここまでにやった巻の範囲の話だ）
It's handwaved in the books that Stella Online also has an FPS element, which he also excelled at. And laser pistols don't have recoil or moving parts, so there's nothing to get used to in that regard. Also, if you look back at the first episode, there's something unique going on when Hiro fires at the thugs attacking Mimi that helps him shoot better.

パワーファンタジーなのは分かってるけど、あの贅沢にはいつか代償があるか、どこかで壊れると思ってる。料理を作るあの機械はナノマシンを使ってるから、船のほかの装置に入り込んだりしそう。まあ、たぶん無いけど。

I really wanna know how much Elma's ship cost, because her not having enough to pay for MINOR damage to a battleship's hull doesn't make sense to me. I'm assuming the author didnt think about it and just excuse to get her to join the crew.

They haven't done a good job of explaining money so far, but remember her ship was also wrecked so wouldn't be worth much anyway. 1 ener = rough 100 yen, so using not really current but close enough for fiction application conversion to USD 15 million ener would be roughly 15 million USD.. also, you don't actually want to know how much "minor damage" to a real life warship would cost to repair. This is a spaceship. It has to be air tight. Tbh that 15 million estimate is much lower than I'd think it should be.

idk the class of Serenas ship but from quick google an aircraft carrier can cost between 2 and 20 billion USD so 15 mil for minor hull damage seems reasonable if we assume spece ships are simillar in their world.

I meant how much her ship cost BEFORE it was totaled. And I'm confused because even in sci-fi, it doesnt make sense for an entire ship, equipped with engines, weapons, computers, etc, all costs less than just a bit of hull plating.

原文は absolute state。もとはイギリスの口語の the absolute state of ...（…の惨状ときたら）で、あまりのひどさにあきれる決まり文句です。4chan では後ろを省いてこれだけで返すのが定着しています。ここでは BD（ブルーレイ）を知らない人へのあきれ顔。英語圏のアニメファンには、放送版の規制はBDで外れると信じて待つ wait for the BDs という合言葉があり、この略語は常識に近いので、知らないこと自体がネタにされたわけです。

原文は Shut up and take my money!。アメリカのアニメ『フューチュラマ』の2010年の回で、主人公のフライが新型の携帯端末の宣伝を見て、札束を突き出しながら叫ぶ台詞です。以来、欲しい物を見たときの決まり文句として画像つきで広く使われています。もともと31世紀の未来を舞台にした作品の、新製品に飛びつく場面なので、未来の家電を即決で買ったヒロに重ねるにはぴったりの引用です。
総評
借金の中身にも目が向きました。「なんで帝国政府が闇金みたいなことしてるんだ」と怒る人に、額そのものは妥当で、問題は期限の短さだと返す人がいて、さらに「現実的に払う方法が無いなら、額が妥当でも大した意味は無い」と続きます。1エネルをおよそ100円として賠償の額をドルに直す人や、空母の値段を調べてきて軍艦の修理費と比べる人まで現れ、宇宙の経済をまじめに計算し始めるのはいかにも Reddit らしいところです。
4chan の側は、湯気と光の演出の話で持ちきりでした。前回の浴室は原作をなぞったものだったのに対し、今回の場面はアニメが自分で足したものだ、という指摘が何度も繰り返され、足しておいて隠すことへの疑問に多くの人がうなずいています。原因を海外の配信サービスに求める人と、日本の放送基準だと見る人で意見が分かれ、ブルーレイで元に戻るかどうかの予想も割れました。その一方で、ペース配分を読み解いて「今週はアニメオリジナルの部分も足してたし、急いでる感じはしない」と2クールを期待する声もあり、原作を追っている人が多いのがうかがえます。
